Searches for New Physics Using Unsupervised Machine Learning for Anomaly Detection at the ATLAS Detector and the Development of Particle Identification Algorithms for the HL-LHC / Crosby, Jacob Edwin (Oklahoma State University (US))
This document contains discussions on completed and ongoing projects that have devel- oped over the past few years while working on the ATLAS detector located at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland. The first discussion will be on my qualification task for the ATLAS collaboration which is on the development and future plans of the DL1d tagger that is currently used as a base- line tagger for run 4 of the ATLAS detector. Status and prospects of the HL-LHC project / Zerlauth, Markus (CERN) ; Brüning, Oliver (CERN)
This contribution summarizes the status of preparations and series production of key technologies for the HL-LHC upgrade project. The upgrade will be deployed in the LHC tunnel at the end of the currently ongoing third operational run of the LHC, by creating new underground areas and upgrading the existing LHC equipment, aiming to increase the data set collected by the main LHC experiments by another order of magnitude and starting operation as of 2029..

Non-invasive Beam Diagnostic Development for FCC using Cherenkov Diffraction Radiation in Dielectric Materials / Schloegelhofer, Andreas
Cherenkov diffraction radiation (ChDR) refers to the emission of electromagnetic radiation when a charged particle travels in the vicinity of dielectric matter, and the particle’s velocity exceeds the phase velocity of electromagnetic radiation in the dielectric [...]

Software architecture of FGC4, CERN’s next-generation power converter control platform / Cejp, Martin (CERN) ; Zielinski, Dariusz (CERN) ; Murillo-Garcia, Raul (CERN)
The Function Generator/Controller is CERN’s flagship controls platform for electrical power converters. Despite a proven track record, the current generation (FGC3) begins to show its age through performance limitations and component obsolescence. [...]

SPS Beam Dump Enhancements on Tracking and Synchronization / Voumard, Nicolas (CERN) ; Magnin, Nicolas (CERN) ; Van Trappen, Pieter (CERN)
During Long Shutdown 2 (LS2) at CERN, the SPS Beam Dumping System (SBDS) was completely renovated and relocated to SPS Point 5. This allowed to deploy at the SPS the Beam Energy Tracking System (BETS) and the Trigger Synchronization Unit (TSU), initially designed for and operational at the LHC Beam Dumping System (LBDS). SAMbuCa: Sensors Acquisition and Motion Control Framework at CERN / Masi, Alessandro (CERN) ; Andreassen, Odd (CERN) ; Arruat, Michel (CERN) ; Danzeca, Salvatore (CERN) ; Di Castro, Mario (CERN) ; Donzé, Mathieu (CERN) ; Fargier, Sylvain (CERN) ; Ferraro, Rudy (CERN) ; Gulin, Marco (CERN) ; Kozsar, Ioan (CERN) et al.
Motion control systems at CERN often have challenging requirements, such as high precision in extremely radioactive environments with millisecond synchronization. These demanding specifications are particularly relevant for Beam Intercepting Devices (BIDs) such as the collimators of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). [...]

Labview-Based Template for Enhanced Accelerator Systems Control: Software Solutions for the CERN-ISOLDE Facilities / Charrondière, Cedric (CERN) ; Andreassen, Odd (CERN) ; Benoit, Antoine (Unlisted, CH) ; Boorman, Gary (Unlisted, CH) ; Galetti, Elena (CERN) ; Heinke, Reinhard (CERN) ; Le, Line (CERN) ; Marsh, Bruce (CERN) ; Rossel, Ralf (CERN) ; Rothe, Sebastian (CERN) et al.
ISOLDE is part of the experimental infrastructure with-in the CERN accelerator complex that provides radioac-tive ion beams for studies of fundamental nuclear phys-ics, astrophysics, condensed matter physics and medical applications. Complementing the available controls in-frastructure, an easy-to-use set of applications was devel-oped to allow operators to record and display signals from multiple sources, as well as to provide drivers for non-standard, custom-made instruments and specialized off-the-shelf components.
