Coherent J/$\psi$ photoproduction and polarization in peripheral Pb-Pb collisions with ALICE
/
Mallick, Dukhishyam
(IJCLab, Orsay) /ALICE Collaboration
Photonuclear reactions are induced by the strong electromagnetic field generated by ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions. These processes have been extensively studied in ultraperipheral collisions, in which the impact parameter is larger than twice the nuclear radius.

Search for medium-induced jet quenching effects in small collision systems with ALICE
/
Ryu, Jaehyeok
(Pusan Natl. U.) /ALICE Collaboration
Collisions of small systems show signatures suggestive of collective flow associated with QGP formation in heavy-ion collisions. Jet quenching is also a consequence of QGP formation, but no significant evidence of it in small systems has been found to date.

K+K- photoproduction in ultra$-$peripheral Pb$--$Pb collisions
/
Kim, Minjung
(UC, Berkeley ; SUNY, Stony Brook)
In ultra-peripheral collisions (UPCs) of relativistic heavy ions, photoproduction occurs when a photon emitted from one nucleus interacts with the other nucleus from the opposing beam, producing particles in the final state.

The ITS3 upgrade baseline design employs MAPS (Monolithic Active Pixel Sensor) in bent state. Bending experiments with the existing ITS2 MAPS (=Alpide chip) show it remains functional but with relative large analog supply current changes.

Particle production and entropy measurement in ALICE
/
Hutson, Alek
One of the main goals in the study of hadronic interactions at LHC energies is the attempt to characterize the mechanisms involved in particle production in different regimes.

Experience gained about Resistive Plate Chambers ageing from the ALICE Muon TRigger/IDentifier detector
/
Ferretti, Alessandro
The ALICE Muon IDentifier is composed of 72 single-gap bakelite Resistive Plate Chambers, which have been operational since 2009 in maxi-avalanche mode (discrimination threshold:7 mV without amplification) with a Tetrafluoroethane/Isobutane/Sulfur Hexafluoride gas mixture, undergoing counting rates of the order of tens of Hz/cm^2.

The O2 software framework and GPU usage in ALICE online and offline reconstruction in Run 3
/
Eulisse, Giulio
(CERN) ;
Rohr, David
(CERN) /ALICE Collaboration
ALICE has upgraded many of its detectors for LHC Run 3 to operate in continuous readout mode recording Pb--Pb collisions at 50 kHz interaction rate without trigger. This results in the need to process data in real time at rates 100 times higher than during Run 2.

Thermal radiation and direct photon production measurements with dielectrons in Pb–Pb and pp collisions
/
Murakami, Hikari
(Tokyo U., CNS) /ALICE Collaboration
The latest ALICE results on dielectron measurements in Pb–Pb collisions at √SNN = 5.02 TeV, and in minimum-bias (MB) and high-multiplicity (HM) pp collisions at √S = 13 TeV with LHC Run 2 data are reported. The results are compared to the predictions of dielectron yields from known hadronic sources and thermal radiation from the medium.
