Identified Hadron Production in Proton-Proton Collisions at $\sqrt{s} = $ 13 TeV with ALICE at the LHC / Kundu, Sourav (NISER, Jatni ; HBNI, Mumbai) /ALICE Collaboration
ALICE is a multi-purpose heavy-ion detector, which has excellent tracking and particle identification (PID) capabilities. This allows the measurement of identified particle production up to a very high transverse momentum ( $p\mathrm {_{T}}$ ). [...]

Resonance Measurements in p–Pb Collisions at $\sqrt{s_\mathrm{{NN}}}$ = 5.02 TeV with ALICE / Sahoo, Sarita (Bhubaneswar, Inst. Phys.) /ALICE
Hadronic resonances serve as unique probes in the study of hot and dense nuclear matter produced in heavy-ion collisions. Measurements of resonance production in pp and p–Pb collisions provide the reference for studies in heavy-ion collisions. [...]

Long Range Correlations in P–Pb Collisions at $\sqrt{s_\mathrm{{NN}}}$ = 5.02 TeV with ALICE / Koyithatta Meethaleveedu, Greeshma (Indian Inst. Tech., Mumbai) /ALICE Collaboration
Angular correlation measurements between charged particles revealed the existence of a double-ridge in p–Pb collisions. Similar correlations between particles separated by several units of pseudorapidity in Pb–Pb collisions were attributed to collectivity in heavy ion collisions. [...]

The upgrade of the Inner Tracking System of the ALICE experiment / Ravasenga, I (INFN, Turin ; Turin Polytechnic) /ALICE
In 2021, for the third run of the CERN Large Hadron Collider(LHC), Pb-Pb collisions will be performed at a centre-of-mass energy per nucleon of 5.5 TeV, with an integrated luminosity of $6×10^{27}cm^{−2}s^{−1}$ and at an unprecedented interaction rate up to 50 kHz. To fulfil the requirements of the ALICE physics program for Run 3, the ALICE experiment at LHC is planning a major upgradeduring the Long Shutdown 2 of LHC in 2019–2020. [...]

Light Flavor Hadron Production as a Function of Multiplicity in pp Collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 7$  TeV Measured with ALICE / Nayak, Kishora (NISER, Jatni ; HBNI, Mumbai) /ALICE
Excellent tracking and particle identification (PID) capabilities make ALICEALICE a unique tool for the systematic study of light flavorLight flavor hadron productionHadron Production over a wide transverse momentum ( $p_{\mathrm {T}}$ ) range, spanning three orders of magnitude in the event charged-particle multiplicityCharge particle multiplicity in three collision systems, pp, p–Pb, and Pb–Pb. Here, we report recent measurements of $p_{\mathrm {T}}$ -spectra of non-strange, single strange and multi-strange light flavor hadrons, $\langle p_{\mathrm {T}} \rangle $ , and particle ratios at midrapidity as a function of multiplicity in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV. Proposal for a new ALICE CPV-HMPID front-end electronics topology / Seguna, Clive (U. Malta) ; Gatt, Edward (U. Malta) ; De Cataldo, Giacinto (INFN, Bari) ; Casha, Owen (U. Malta) ; Grech, Ivan (U. Malta)
This paper presents the proposal of a new front-end readout electronics (RO) architecture for the ALICE Charged-particle Veto detector (CPV) located in PHOton Spectrometer (PHOS), and for the High Momentum particle IDentification detector (HMPID). With the upgrades in hardware typology and proposed new readout scheme in FPGA design, the RO system shall achieve at least five times the speed of the present front-end readout electronics. [...]

Heavy-flavour azimuthal correlations in $pp$ and $p$-Pb collisions with ALICE / Mazzilli, M (Bari U. ; INFN, Bari) /ALICE
Azimuthal correlation studies of heavy-flavour particles with chargedparticles inppcollisions are powerful tools to characterize the charm fragmentationprocess. Comparisons of $pp$ and $p-$P$b$ measurements of heavy quarks hadronizationproducts allow us to investigate how cold nuclear matter effects could affect theheavy-quark hadronization process. [...]

The upgrade of the ALICE vertex detector, the Inner Tracking System (ITS), is scheduled to be installed during the next long shutdown period(2019-2020) of the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The current ITS will bereplaced by seven concentric layers of Monolithic Active Pixel Sensors (MAPS) witha total active surface of∼10 $m^2$, thus making ALICE the first LHC experimentimplementing MAPS detector technology on a large scale.
