 The ALICE definition of primary particles /ALICE Collaboration In this public note, we specify what we mean by the term primary particle''. The definition is motivated by what is in principle measurable by ALICE and that event generators and other such theoretical considerations must be able to reproduce the same requirements [...] ALICE-PUBLIC-2017-005.- Geneva : CERN, 2017 - 30.  Addendum to JHEP 11 (2015) 205: Centrality dependence of high-$p_{\rm T}$ D-meson suppression in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 2.76TeV /ALICE Collaboration This is an Addendum to the article JHEP 11 (2015) 205. The figures 3 (right), 4 (right) and 5 are updated with published results on non-prompt J/$\psi$-meson production from the CMS Collaboration, Eur.  Preliminary Physics Summary: Measurement of D$^0$, D$^+$, D$^{*+}$ and D$_{\rm s}$ production in Pb-Pb collisions at ${\sqrt{s}_{\rm NN}}=5.02$ TeV /ALICE Collaboration We report preliminary measurements of the production of prompt D$^0$, D$^+$, D$^{*+}$ and D$_{\rm s}$ mesons in Pb-Pb collisions in the centrality class 30-50% at the centre-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}=5.02$ TeV per nucleon-nucleon collision. The production yields are measured at mid-rapidity ($|y|<0.5$) as a function of transverse momentum ($p_{\rm T}$) in the intervals $1\lt p_{\rm T}<36$ GeV/$c$ for D$^0$, $2\lt p_{\rm T}<36$ GeV/$c$ for D$^+$ and D$^{*+}$, and $4\lt p_{\rm T}<16$ GeV/$c$ for D$_{\rm s}$ mesons [...] ALICE-PUBLIC-2017-003.- Geneva : CERN, 2017 - 16.  ALICE luminosity determination for pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}=8$ TeV /ALICE Collaboration Luminosity determination in ALICE is based on visible cross sections measured in van der Meer scans. In 2012, the Large Hadron Collider provided proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=8$ TeV. [...] ALICE-PUBLIC-2017-002.- Geneva : CERN, 2017 - 17. Fulltext: PDF;

 Preliminary Physics Summary: Inclusive J/$\psi$ production at forward rapidity in p-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s}_{\rm {NN}} = 8.16$ TeV /ALICE Collaboration The inclusive J/$\psi$ production has been studied in p-Pb interactions at the centre-of-mass energy per nucleon-nucleon collision $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}=8.16$ TeV, using the ALICE detector at the CERN LHC. The J/$\psi$ meson is detected, via its decay to a muon pair, in the centre-of-mass rapidity intervals $2.03 2016-11-10 11:09 Readout scheme of the upgraded ALICE TPC / Appelshaeuser, Harald (Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe Univ. (DE)) ; Arslandok, Mesut (Ruprecht-Karls-Universitaet Heidelberg (DE)) ; Ivanov, Marian (GSI - Helmholtzzentrum fur Schwerionenforschung GmbH (DE)) ; Lippmann, Christian (GSI - Helmholtzzentrum fur Schwerionenforschung GmbH (DE)) ; Wiechula, Jens (Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe Univ. (DE)) /ALICE Collaboration In this document, we present the updated readout scheme for the ALICE TPC Upgrade. Two major design changes are implemented with respect to the concept that was presented in the TPC Upgrade Technical Design Report: – The SAMPA front-end ASIC will be used in direct readout mode. The added material focuses on the comparison between the measured, raw opposite-sign dimuon mass distributions and the estimated mixed-event background distribution, here shown for each specific$p_{\rm T}$interval considered in the differential analysis..
