Combination of all searches and extraction of properties of the Higgs boson (ATLAS+CMS) / Fanti, M
[I did not receive an abstract, I'll write my own...] The ATLAS and CMS collaborations observed a new resonance decaying in two photons, in four leptons via Z-boson pair production, and in two W-bosons decaying leptonically. With the total amount of LHC run-1 data, amounting to about 25 $fb^{-1}$ collected at $\sqrt{s}$=7 TeV and 8 TeV, it is possible to probe the fundamental properties of this particle: mass, spin, couplings, showing that it is compatible with a Standard Model Higgs boson. Measurement of hard double-parton interactions with the ATLAS detector / Martin, T A D (University of Warwick)
The production of W bosons in association with two jets in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of sqrt(s)=7 TeV has been analysed for the presence of double-parton interactions using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 36/pb, collected with the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The fraction of events arising from double-parton interactions, fDP(D) has been measured through the momentum balance between the two jets and amounts to fDP(D) = 0.08 +- 0.01 (stat.) +- 0.02 (sys) for jets with transverse momentum PT > 20 GeV and rapidity |y|<2.8.
