Communicating ATLAS / Mehlhase, Sascha (Fakultaet fuer Physik, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitaet Muenchen) ; Anthony-Kittelsen, Katarina-Amelia (INFN Gruppo Collegato di Udine, Dipartimento Politecnico di Ingegneria ed Architettura, Universita' di Udine, Udine) ; Goldfarb, Steven (ARC Centre of Excellence in Particle Physics at the Terascale, School of Physics, The University of Melbourne) ; Nellist, Clara (Georg-August-Universitat Goettingen, II. Physikalisches Institut) ; Jarvis-Ward , Emma (INFN Gruppo Collegato di Udine, Dipartimento Politecnico di Ingegneria ed Architettura, Universita' di Udine, Udine) /ATLAS Collaboration Communicating the status and achievements of the ATLAS Experiment has been a core objective of the ATLAS Collaboration since its founding. To match an ever-changing media landscape, ATLAS has tailored its communication strategy to produce content that effectively targets key audiences. Digital signal processing in FPGA for particle track reconstruction at the HL-LHC ATLAS / Poggi, Riccardo (Departement de Physique Nucleaire et Corpusculaire, Universite de Geneve) /ATLAS Collaboration In the context of the high-luminosity large hadron collider (HL-LHC) upgrade, this work presents the latest update on the design of the FPGA firmware responsible of particle track reconstruction in the pattern recognition mezzanine (PRM) of the hardware-based tracking for the trigger (HTT) system, a subsystem of the ATLAS experiment trigger and data acquisition system. This computationally demanding task relies heavily on two FPGA features: the embedded in silicon digital signal processing (DSP) components and the performance of an available high bandwidth memory (HBM). Production of Quarkonia and Heavy Flavor States in ATLAS / Seidel, Sally (University of New Mexico) /ATLAS Collaboration Associated production of a vector boson with quarkonium is a key observable for understanding quarkonium production mechanisms, including the separation of single and double parton scattering components. This talk will present the latest differential measurements from ATLAS of associated-quarkonium production. [...] ATL-PHYS-SLIDE-2019-193.- Geneva : CERN, 2019 - 34 p. Higgs boson couplings to quarks at the ATLAS experiment / David, Claire (DESY, Hamburg and Zeuthen) /ATLAS Collaboration Testing the couplings of the Higgs boson to quarks is important to understand the origin of quark masses. The talk presents cross section measurements in Higgs boson decays to two $b$ quarks, as well as a search for Higgs boson decays to two $c$ quarks. [...] ATL-PHYS-SLIDE-2019-192.- Geneva : CERN, 2019 - 23 p. Fulltext: PDF; External link: Original Communication (restricted to ATLAS) In : FPCP 2019, Victoria, Canada, 6 - 10 May 2019

Search for New Phenomena in inclusive and exclusive Di(b)jet with the ATLAS Detector at ¿s = 13 TeV / Otero y Garzon, Gustavo (Universidad de Buenos Aires) /ATLAS Collaboration Many theories beyond the Standard Model predict new phenomena which decay to jets. Such final states are of particular interest at the LHC since new phenomena produced in parton collisions are likely to produce final states with (at least) two partons. [...] ATL-PHYS-SLIDE-2019-190.- Geneva : CERN, 2019 - 23 p. Top Quark Flavour Physics / Kareem, Mohammad Jawad (York University) /ATLAS Collaboration Studying the properties of the heaviest fundamental particle discovered so far, the top quark, is of high importance. The extremely short lifetime and strong coupling to Higgs are unique features of the top quarks which turned it to me a window toward searches for new physics beyond the Standard Model. [...] ATL-PHYS-SLIDE-2019-189.- Geneva : CERN, 2019 - 32 p. Fulltext: PDF; External link: Original Communication (restricted to ATLAS) In : FPCP 2019, Victoria, Canada, 6 - 10 May 2019
