Background measurements in the CMS DT chambers during LHC Run 2 /CMS Collaboration
Characterizing background helps to understand its trend and sources, and to devise mitigation measures to prevent detector ageing, especially in view of luminosity increase. During LHC Run2, the background in the CMS Drift Tubes (DT) was monitored both by means of online anode current measurements and offline analysis. Results are shown in terms of trends vs LHC instantaneous luminosity and of spatial distributions..

Monitoring and Modelling of the Radiation Damage of the CMS Phase-1 Pixel Detector in the Barrel Region /CMS Collaboration
This Detector Performance Summary shows the comparison between measurement and modellation of the development of sensor leakage currents as well as the depletion voltages for all the layers in the CMS Phase-1 Pixel detector in the barrel region after the end of LHC Run-2. In addition to that, a first rough measurement of the z dependence of the sensor leakage currents is presented, which was taken after the end of LHC Run-2..

Development of the CMS Phase-1 Pixel Online Monitoring System and the Distribution and Evolution of Temperatures and Sensor Leakage Currents /CMS Collaboration
This Detector Performance Summary shows typical temperature readings and leakage current measurements in the CMS Phase-1 Pixel detector during proton-proton collisions as well as cosmic ray data taking. The impact of different CO$_{2}$ mass flows on the overall cooling performance is also presented..

Performance of a Soft Muon, Hard Jet and Moderate Missing Energy Trigger in 2018 Data /CMS Collaboration
This note presents the performance of a dedicated High-Level Trigger (HLT) algorithm that requires a low transverse momentum $p_{\mathrm{T}}$ muon, a jet with transverse momentum $p_{\mathrm{T}}$ greater than 100 GeV and missing transverse momentum $p_{\mathrm{T}}^{\mathrm{miss}}$ greater than 80 GeV. The trigger algorithm targets events with ISR signatures with moderate $p_{\mathrm{T}}^{\mathrm{miss}}$ and soft muons, that are typical in SUSY models with very compressed mass spectra. [...]

Effects of the electronic threshold on the performance of the RPC system of the CMS experiment /CMS Collaboration
Resistive Plate Chambers (RPCs in the following) play a very important role as the dedicated system for muon triggering both in the barrel and in the endcap of the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. It is therefore of primary importance to tune the operating voltage and the electronic threshold of the front-end boards reading the signals from these detectors in order to optimize the RPC system performance. Identification of highly Lorentz-boosted heavy particles using graph neural networks and new mass decorrelation techniques /CMS Collaboration
This note presents several new developments on machine learning (ML)-based identification of highly Lorentz-boosted heavy particles using jet substructure in CMS and their performance with the CMS Phase 1 detector. A new algorithm based on ParticleNet, a graph neural network using an unordered set of jet constituent particles as the input, has been developed and shows significantly improved performance. [...]

Recording and reconstructing 10 billion unbiased b hadron decays in CMS /CMS Collaboration
The CMS experiment has recorded a sample of 10 billion events containing the unbiased decays of b hadrons. The accumulation, processing, and validation of this data set were delivered without significant impact on the core physics programme of CMS. [...]

DT hit efficiency measurements with reduced high voltage /CMS Collaboration
Efficiency measurements were carried out on the CMS Drift Tubes (DT) applying anode High Voltage lower than nominal. The "HV scans", performed periodically with cosmic rays, allowed to exclude detector ageing during Run 2, and also to assess the effect of lowering the Front End threshold. [...]

ECAL 2018 refined calibration and Preshower Run 2 performance plots /CMS Collaboration
Many physics analyses using the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) detector at the LHC require accurate, high resolution electron and photon energy measurements. Following the excellent performance achieved in Run I at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, the CMS electromagnetic calorimeter (ECAL) is operating at the LHC with proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV center-of-mass energy.
