 BCM1F and Luminosity calibration /CMS Collaboration The Fast Beam Condition Monitor (BCM1F) provides a real time bunch-by-bunch luminosity measurement. The stability of the calibration and the linearity of the system is monitored with regular emittance scans. [...] CMS-DP-2018-062; CERN-CMS-DP-2018-062.- Geneva : CERN, 2018 - 7 p. Fulltext: PDF;

 CMS Tracker Alignment Performance Results 2018 /CMS Collaboration The tracking system of the CMS detector provides excellent resolution for charged particle tracks and an efficient way of tagging jets. In order to reconstruct good quality tracks, the position and orientation of each silicon pixel and strip module needs to be determined with a precision of several micrometers. In this note the performance of the alignment of the CMS tracker with data taken during 2018 is presented. [...] CMS-DP-2018-061; CERN-CMS-DP-2018-061.- Geneva : CERN, 2018 - 18 p. Fulltext: PDF;

 Patatrack Heterogeneous Computing 2018 Demonstrator: Pixel Tracks /CMS Collaboration The Patatrack Team, during 2018, explored heterogeneous solutions within CMS using GPUs and CMSSW. In this Note we report on the progress made on porting the full workflow of Pixel Track reconstruction at HLT on GPUs. [...] CMS-DP-2018-059; CERN-CMS-DP-2018-059.- Geneva : CERN, 2018 - 14 p.  Performance of the DeepJet b tagging algorithm using 41.9/fb of data from proton-proton collisions at 13TeV with Phase 1 CMS detector /CMS Collaboration The identification of jets originating from b quarks (b jets) is of great importance to many physics analyses. Multivariate analysis techniques have been traditionally used in flavour tagging algorithms, however there has been a recent step change towards using deep learning algorithms due to their suitability to complex multi-classification problems.  Efficiency of Si-strips sensors used in Precision Proton Spectrometer /CMS and TOTEM Collaborations The Precision Proton Spectrometer (PPS) is a forward-proton spectrometer using near-beam detectors (Roman Pots, RPs) located symmetrically on both sides of IP5 at a distance of about 220 m. At The early stage of the project, the tracking RPs were equipped with Si-strip sensors used in the TOTEM experiment. [...] CMS-DP-2018-056; CERN-CMS-DP-2018-056.- Geneva : CERN, 2018 - 12 p.  HLT Dimuon Invariant Mass Distributions In 2017 and 2018 /CMS Collaboration Dimuon invariant mass distributions for events recorded in 2017 and 2018 and reconstructed in the CMS High Level Trigger system are shown in this note. Events are recorded largely unconstrained by requirements on muon kinematics otherwise imposed by CMS data acquisition and event reconstruction workflows.  Tau reconstruction with calorimeter jets at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV /CMS Collaboration We present the calo-tau algorithm, which is a dedicated high $p_{T}$ (transverse momentum) tau reconstruction algorithm that primarily uses calorimeter hits instead of tracks. The performance of this algorithm is presented, along with a comparison with the standard HPS (Hadron Plus Strip) reconstruction algorithm. This study is work in progress, and is an attempt to tune the reconstruction for high $p_{T}$ taus. [...] CMS-DP-2018-054; CERN-CMS-DP-2018-054.- Geneva : CERN, 2018 - 9 p. Fulltext: PDF;

 Boosted Gluon Fusion Higgs to bb Trigger Efficiency in 2018 Data /CMS Collaboration This note presents the performance of a single jet high level trigger in proton-proton collisions recorded during early 2018. The trigger has been developed for the search of gluon fusion produced Higgs decaying to a pair of b quarks and utilizes a multivariate discriminant that determines the likelihood a jet contains two b quarks..
