Measurements of differential Higgs boson production cross sections in the leptonic WW decay mode at $\sqrt{s} = 13~\mathrm{TeV}$ /CMS Collaboration Measurements of differential production cross sections of the Higgs boson in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13~\mathrm{TeV}$ are performed using events where the Higgs boson decays into a pair of W bosons which subsequently decay into an electron, a muon, and a pair of neutrinos. The analysis is based on data collected by the CMS detector at the LHC in 2016, 2017, and 2018, and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of $137~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. A deep neural network for simultaneous estimation of b quark energy and resolution /CMS Collaboration We describe a method to obtain point and dispersion estimates for the energy of jets arising from bottom quarks (b jets) in proton-proton (pp) collisions at the CERN LHC. The algorithm is trained using a large simulated sample of b jets produced in pp collisions recorded at an energy of $\sqrt{s}=13~\mathrm{TeV}$ and validated on data recorded by the CMS detector in 2017 with an integrated luminosity of $41~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. Template measurement of the top quark forward-backward asymmetry and anomalous chromoelectric and chromomagnetic moments in the semileptonic channel at sqrt(s)=13 TeV /CMS Collaboration The linearized parton-level top quark forward-backward asymmetry $A^{(1)}_{\mathrm{FB}}$ and anomalous chromoelectric ($d$) and chromomagnetic ($\mu$) moments are measured in $35.9~\text{fb}^{-1}$ of LHC proton-proton collision data collected with the CMS detector in 2016 at a center-of-mass energy $13~\text{TeV}$. Candidate top quark/antiquark pair events decaying to lepton (muon or electron) plus jets final states with resolved" (low energy) and boosted" (high energy) topologies are selected and reconstructed using a kinematic fit of the decay products to top quark pair hypotheses. Observation of the $\Lambda_{\mathrm{b}} \to \mathrm{J}/\psi \Lambda \phi$ decay in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=$ 13 TeV /CMS Collaboration We report a first observation of the $\Lambda_{\mathrm{b}} \to \mathrm{J}/\psi \Lambda \phi$ decay using proton-proton collision data collected at $\sqrt{s}$= 13 TeV by the CMS experiment at the LHC, and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 60 $\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. The ratio of the branching fractions ${\cal B}(\Lambda_{\mathrm{b}} \to \mathrm{J}/\psi \Lambda \phi)/{\cal B}(\Lambda_{\mathrm{b}}\to \psi\mathrm{(2S)} \Lambda)$ is measured to be $(8.26\pm0.90~\mathrm{(stat)} \pm0.68~\mathrm{(syst)}\pm0.11({\cal B}))\times 10^{-2}$, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third is due to the uncertainties in the world-average branching fractions.. Search for supersymmetry with a compressed mass spectrum in events with a soft $\tau$ lepton, a highly energetic jet, and large missing transverse momentum in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13~\mathrm{TeV}$ /CMS Collaboration The first search for supersymmetry in events with one soft tau lepton, one energetic jet from initial state radiation, and transverse momentum imbalance is presented. These event signatures are consistent with those from supersymmetric models exhibiting co-annihilation between the scalar tau lepton ($\tilde{\tau}$) and the lightest neutralino ($\tilde\chi^{0}_{1}$) that could generate the observed relic density of dark matter.
