Measurement of color coherence effects in pp collisions at root s = 7 TeV
/CMS Collaboration
A study of color coherence effects in pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 7 TeV has been performed.
The data used in the analysis were collected in 2010 by the CMS detector at the LHC and correspond to an integrated luminosity of $36$ ${\rm{pb}}^{-1}$.
Events are selected in which there are at least three jets with the two leading jets in transverse momentum having a pronounced back-to-back topology.
The measurement of the azimuthal angular correlation between the second and third jets is compared to the predictions of Monte-Carlo models with different implementations of color coherence effects..

Phenomenological MSSM interpretation of the CMS 2011 5fb-1 results
/CMS Collaboration
We interpret within the phenomenological MSSM (pMSSM) results obtained
by CMS using a $pp$ data set collected in 2011 at 7~TeV, corresponding
to an integrated luminosity of 5~fb$^{-1}$.
The pMSSM is a 19-parameter realization of the MSSM defined at the SUSY
scale, that captures most of the features of the general R-parity
conserving weak-scale MSSM.
A global Bayesian analysis is performed that yields posterior
probability densities of model parameters, masses and observables. We
provide conclusions that are more generic, and therefore more robust,
than those derived in more constrained setups, including simplified
models and models that impose particular SUSY breaking schemes, such
as the CMSSM.
%Our results also comprise We also study implications for the MSSM Higgs sector,
as well as for dark matter searches. [...]

A search for the decay of top quarks that violate baryon number conservation
is performed using pp collisions produced by the LHC at $\sqrt{s}=8$
TeV. The top quark decay signature considered in this analysis
consists of one light lepton (electron or muon), two jets, but no
neutrino in the final state. [...]

Prompt psi(2S) polarization in pp collisions at 7 TeV
/CMS Collaboration
The polarization of prompt $\psi$(2S) mesons is
measured in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 7\,$TeV, using a data sample
of $\psi\mathrm{(2S)} \rightarrow \mu^+\mu^-$ decays collected by the CMS experiment,
corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.9$\,$fb$^{-1}$.
The dimuon decay angular distributions are analysed in three different
polarization frames. The prompt $\psi$(2S) polarization parameters $\lambda_\vartheta$,
$\lambda_\varphi$, and $\lambda_{\vartheta\varphi}$, as well as the frame-invariant
$\tilde{\lambda}$, are measured as a function of the $\psi$(2S) transverse
momentum, $p_{\rm T}$, between 14 and 50$\,$GeV, in the rapidity ranges $|y|<0.6$ and $0.6<|y|<1.2$.
No evidence of large transverse or longitudinal polarizations is seen in the
explored kinematic region..

Upsilon(1S), Upsilon(2S) and Upsilon(3S) cross section measurements in pp collisions at sqrt(s) = 7 TeV
/CMS Collaboration
The differential cross section as a function of transverse momentum for the production of the $\Upsilon(nS)$ ($n$=1,2,3) states decaying into a pair of muons has been measured in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV using 4.9 fb$^{-1}$ of data collected by the CMS detector. The analysis selected events with dimuon rapidity $|y(\mu\mu)|< 0.6$, and the measurements cover dimuon transverse momentum in the range $p_T(\mu\mu)=$10-100 GeV. [...]

$\tilde{\nu}_{\mu}$) via the R-parity violating coupling $\lambda'_{211}$,
with two same-sign muons and at least two jets in the final state is
