Photons interacting with Hadrons at COMPASS / Friedrich, Jan Michael (Technische Universitaet Muenchen (DE)) /COMPASS NA58 Collaboration
COMPASS is a multi-purpose experiment operated at CERN for investigations of the strong interaction from low to medium energy scales. At low energies, photon-pion interactions provide input for understanding the effective dynamics of strongly bound states of quarks and gluons, most prominently the recent measurement of the polarisability of the charged pion. Extraction of the $\pi^+\pi^-$ Subsystem in Diffractively Produced $\pi^-\pi^+\pi^-$ at COMPASS / Krinner, Fabian (Munich, Tech. U.) /for the COMPASS collaboration
The COMPASS experiment at CERN has collected a large data sample of 50 million diffractively produced $\pi^-\pi^+\pi^-$ events using a $190\,$GeV$/c$ negatively charged hadron beam. The partial-wave analysis (PWA) of these high-precision data reveals previously unseen details. [...]

SIDIS transverse spin azimuthal asymmetries at COMPASS: Multidimensional analysis / Parsamyan, Bakur (Turin U. ; INFN, Turin)
Exploration of transverse spin structure of the nucleon via study of the spin (in)dependent azimuthal asymmetries in semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering (SIDIS) and Drell-Yan (DY) reactions is one of the main aspects of the broad physics program of the COMPASS experiment (CERN, Switzerland). In past decade COMPASS has collected a considerable amount of polarized deuteron and proton SIDIS data while 2014 and 2015 runs were dedicated to the Drell-Yan measurements. [...]

Development of THGEM-based Photon Detectors for COMPASS RICH-1 / Alexeev, M (INFN, Turin ; Piemonte Orientale U., Alessandria) ; Birsa, R (INFN, Trieste) ; Bradamante, F (INFN, Trieste ; Trieste U.) ; Bressan, A (INFN, Trieste ; Trieste U.) ; Chiosso, M (INFN, Turin ; Turin U.) ; Ciliberti, P (INFN, Trieste ; Trieste U.) ; Torre, S Dalla (INFN, Trieste) ; Denisov, O (INFN, Turin) ; Duic, V (INFN, Trieste ; Trieste U.) ; Finger, M (Charles U. ; Dubna, JINR) et al.
An R&D; project is presented, aimed to develop a high performance gaseous detector of single photons, for the upgrade of the Ring Imaging Cherenkov Counter RICH-1 of the COMPASS Experiment at CERN SPS. The detector has to stably operate at high gain and high rate, to provide good time resolution and insensitivity to magnetic field, and to offer the possibility to cover very large areas at affordable cost. Search for exclusive photoproduction of $Z_c(3900)$ at COMPASS / Guskov, Alexey (Dubna, JINR) /for the COMPASS collaboration
The $Z_{c}(3900)$ hadron state has been found by the BES-III and Belle experiments in the decay of the hadron state with higher mass. The first attempt to search for the direct exclusive production of the $Z_c^{\pm}(3900)$ hadron by virtual photons has been performed in the reaction $\mu^+ N \rightarrow \mu^+ N' Z_c(3900)^{\pm} \rightarrow \mu^+ N' J/\psi \pi^{\pm}$ at COMPASS \cite{Adolph:2014hba}. Measurement of the charged-pion polarisability at COMPASS / Guskov, Alexey (Dubna, JINR) /for the COMPASS collaboration
The electric (${\alpha}_{\pi}$) and the magnetic (${\beta}_{\pi}$) polarisabilities are fundamental properties of the pion characterising the rigidity of its internal structure. They have been precisely measured at the COMPASS experiment at CERN with a ${\pi}^{-}$ beam of 190~GeV/c assuming ${\alpha}_{\pi}+{\beta}_{\pi}=0$. [...]
