/ Montbarbon, E (CERN) ; Banerjee, D (CERN ; Illinois U., Urbana) ; Bernhard, J (CERN) ; Brugger, M (CERN) ; Charitonidis, N (CERN) ; D'Alessandro, G L (CERN ; Royal Holloway, U. of London) ; Doble, N (CERN ; INFN, Pisa) ; Gatignon, L (CERN) ; Gerbershagen, A (CERN) ; Rae, B (CERN) et al.
An exploratory study has been launched at CERN in 2016 aiming at exploiting the full scientific potential of CERN’s accelerator complex and its scientific infrastructure through projects complementary to the LHC, HL-LHC and other possible future colliders. These projects will address possible experiments over the period from 2021 to about 2040. [...]

The CREAM-III Calorimeter
/ Malinin, A (Maryland U.) ; Lee, M H (Maryland U.) ; Ahn, H S (Maryland U.) ; Ganel, O (Maryland U.) ; Han, J H (Maryland U.) ; Jeon, J A (Ewha Women's U., Seoul) ; Kim, C H (Maryland U.) ; Kim, K C (Maryland U.) ; Lutz, L (Maryland U.) ; Nam, S (Ewha Women's U., Seoul) et al.
After successful recovery of the first CREAM (Cosmic Ray Energetics And Mass) instrument during the 2004\/5 Antarctic campaign, the calorimeter was refurbished for the third launch, planned for December 2007. In this CREAM-III calorimeter, the optics were replaced with multi-clad fiber ribbons to enhance the light signal. [...]

Elemental Spectra from the CREAM-I Flight
/ Ahn, Hoseok ; Allison, P S ; Bagliesi, M G ; Beatty, J J ; Bigongiari, G ; Boyle, P J ; Childers, J T ; Conklin, N B ; Coutu, S ; Duvernois, M A et al.
The Cosmic Ray Energetics And Mass (CREAM) instrument is a balloon-borne experiment designed to measure the composition and energy spectra of cosmic rays of charge Z = 1 to 26 up to an energy of ∼1015 eV. CREAM had two successful flights on long-duration balloons (LDB) launched from McMurdo Station, Antarctica, in December 2004 and December 2005. [...]

The balloon-borne cosmic-ray experiment CREAM-I (Cosmic-Ray Energetics And Mass) completed a successful 42-day flight during the 2004-2005 NASA\/NSF\/NSBF Antarctic expedition. CREAM-I combines an imaging calorimeter with charge detectors and a precision transition radiation detector (TRD). [...]

A New Transition Radiation Detector for the CREAM experiment
/ Malinin, A (Maryland U.) ; Akhnazarov, V (TRIUMF) ; Angelaszek, D (Maryland U.)
The Cosmic Ray Energetics And Mass (CREAM) experiment is designed to investigate the source, propagation and acceleration mechanism of high energy cosmic-ray nuclei, by directly measuring their energy and charge. Incorporating a Transition Radiation Detector (TRD) provides a model independent energy measurement complementary to the calorimeter, as well as additional track reconstruction capability. [...]
