The golden age of astroparticle physics in the LHC era / Giovannelli, F (INAF, Rome)
In this paper I want to discuss the status of Astroparticle Physics at the beginning of the Large Hadronic Collider (LHC) Era. Astroparticle physics - the new branch of physics born roughly at the end of the 1980-ies is now in its golden age - takes into account results obtained from the observations of cosmic sources via photonic experiments and particle experiments as well as from the difficult observations of neutrinos. Broadband Impedance of Pumping Holes and Interconnects in the FCC-hh Beamscreen / Arsenyev, Sergey (CERN) ; Schulte, Daniel (CERN)
In the proposed Future Circular Collider (FCC-hh) pumping holes and interconnects between sections of the beamscreen can be sources of unwanted broadband impedance, potentially leading to the transverse mode coupling instability (TMCI). The pumping holes pose a greater challenge to the impedance calculation due to their small contribution per hole. [...]

FCC-hh transverse impedance budget / Arsenyev, Sergey (CERN) ; Boine-Frankenheim, Oliver (Darmstadt, Tech. U. ; Darmstadt, GSI) ; Schulte, Daniel (CERN)
Contributions of different machine elements of the proposed Future Circular Collider (FCC-hh) impedance budget are calculated based on beam stability considerations. For each element (the beamscreen, the collimators, etc), effective impedances are calculated at the injection energy and at the collision energy for considered instabilities. [...]

Landau Damping Studies for the FCC: Octupole Magnets, Electron Lens and Beam-Beam Effects / Tambasco, Claudia (Ecole Polytechnique, Lausanne) ; Arsenyev, Sergey (CERN) ; Barranco García, Javier (Ecole Polytechnique, Lausanne) ; Buffat, Xavier (CERN) ; Pieloni, Tatiana (Ecole Polytechnique, Lausanne) ; Rivkin, Leonid (Ecole Polytechnique, Lausanne) ; Schulte, Daniel (CERN)
Stability studies for the FCC-hh operational cycle are explored using Landau octupoles and electron lenses alone and in the presence of long-range as well as head-on beam-beam effects. Pros and cons of the various methods are compared and an optimum operational scenario to guarantee the maximum stability is proposed..

Beam Dump Facility Target: Design Status and Beam Tests in 2018 / Lopez Sola, Edmundo (CERN) ; Aberle, Oliver (CERN) ; Avigni, Pietro (CERN) ; Bianchi, Laura (CERN) ; Busom, Josep (CERN) ; Calviani, Marco (CERN) ; Casolino, Mirkoantonio (CERN) ; Espadanal, Joao (CERN) ; Fraser, Matthew (CERN) ; Girod, Sylvain (CERN) et al.
The Beam Dump Facility (BDF) Project, currently in its design phase, is a proposed general-purpose fixed target facility at CERN, dedicated to the Search for Hidden Particles (SHiP) experiment in its initial phase. At the core of the installation resides the target/dump assembly, whose aim is to fully absorb the high intensity 400 GeV/c SPS beam and produce charmed mesons. [...]

Lifetime and Beam Losses Studies of Partially Strip Ions in the SPS ($^{129}$Xe$^{39+}$) / Hirlaender, Simon (CERN) ; Alemany-Fernández, Reyes (CERN) ; Bartosik, Hannes (CERN) ; Biancacci, Nicolo (CERN) ; Bohl, Thomas (CERN) ; Cettour Cave, Stephane (CERN) ; Cornellis, Karel (CERN) ; Goddard, Brennan (CERN) ; Kain, Verena (CERN) ; Krasny, Mieczyslaw (Paris U., VI-VII ; Paris, IN2P3 ; CERN) et al.
The CERN multipurpose Gamma Factory proposal relies on using Partially Stripped Ion (PSI) beams, instead of electron beams, as the drivers of its light source. If such beams could be successfully stored in the LHC ring, fluxes of the order of $10^{17}$ photons/s, in the $\gamma$-ray energy domain of $1 \leq \rm{E}_{\gamma} \leq 400$ MeV could be achieved.
