CERN Accelerating science

ABOUT THESES
The theses collection aims to cover as well as possible all theses in particle physics and its related fields.
The collection starts with the thesis of Feynman, defended in 1942, and covers now alltogether more than 3000 theses. Most of the documents are held as hard copies, theses from later years are available electronically. (Note also that many theses are not physically held by the CERN Library.)

A search for third-generation leptoquarks in the non-resonant production with the ATLAS experiment and development of the Level-0 muon trigger for the High Luminosity LHC / Morodei, Federico
Recent observations performed by several high-energy physics experiments have shown anomalies in b-hadron decays, which could be explained by assuming the existence of a particle, the leptoquark, coupled both to leptons and quarks [...]

Search for Supersymmetry in proton-proton collisions at sqrt(s) = 13 TeV with at least one photon, jets and missing transverse momentum / Kansal, Bhumika
The Standard Model (SM) explains three out of four fundamental forces except for gravity. One of the primary limitations of SM is a mass hierarchy problem, and the other is the inability to explain the presence of dark matter in the universe [...]

Non-invasive Beam Diagnostic Development for FCC using Cherenkov Diffraction Radiation in Dielectric Materials / Schloegelhofer, Andreas

A Search for Dark Photons with the FASER Detector at the LHC / Fellers, Deion Elgin (University of Oregon (US)) /FASER Collaboration
The FASER experiment at the LHC is designed to search for light, weakly- interacting particles produced in proton-proton collisions at the ATLAS interaction point that travel in the far-forward direction. FASER is sensitive to probing previously unconstrained dark photon models, which is a theoretical particle that could provide a portal between the standard model of particle physics and a dark sector that contains a dark matter particle. [...]
