On the resolution function of the n_TOF facility: a comprehensive study and user guide
/ Vlachoudis, Vasilis (CERN (Switzerland)) ; Sabate-Gilarte, Marta (CERN (Switzerland) / University of Seville (Spain)) ; Alcayne, Victor (CIEMAT (Spain)) ; Gunsing, Frank (CEA-Saclay (France)) ; Mendoza, Emilio (CIEMAT (Spain)) ; Ogallar, Francisco (CERN (Switzerland)) ; Rejwan, Idan (-) ; Bacak, Michael (PSI (Switzerland)) ; Guerrero, Carlos (University of Seville (Spain)) ; Massimi, Cristian (INFN (Italy) / University of Bologna (Italy)) et al.
The purpose of this report is to provide the necessary information and tools for the n_TOF Collaboration on how to correctly account for the neutron resolution function in the experimental areas (EAR1 and EAR2) for different n_TOF operation periods. The n_TOF target as well as the cooling/moderation system was designed to optimize the performances of the neutron beam for EAR1. [...]

New C$_{6}$D$_{6}$ detectors: reduced neutron sensitivity and improved safety
/ Mastinu, Pierfrancesco (INFN (IT)) ; Baccomi, Roberto (INFN (IT)) ; Berthoumieux, Eric (CERN (CH)) ; Cano-Ott, Daniel (CIEMAT (ES)) ; Gramegna, F (INFN (IT)) ; Guerrero, Carlos (CERN (CH)) ; Massimi, Cristian (INFN (IT)) ; Milazzo, Paolo Maria (INFN (IT)) ; Mingrone, Federica (INFN (IT)) ; Praena, Javier (Universidad de Sevilla (ES)) et al.
During the 2011 data measurement campaign at n_TOF, the liquid scintillator detectors developed at FZK-Karlsruhe (hereafter named K6D6, [1]) and used with success along 10 years have shown ageing problems, mainly related to liquid leakage. The mould used to produce the carbon fiber structure, containing the liquid and the detection elements, was not available anymore and the technician involved in its construction was retired [...]
