Network Connection Management
The CERN network database is a key element of the CERN network infrastructure. It is absolutely essential that its information is kept up-to-date for security reasons and to ensure smooth running of the network infrastructure. Over the years, some of the information in the database has become obsolete. The database therefore needs to be cleaned up, for which we are requesting your help.
In the coming weeks, you may receive an electronic mail from Netops.database@cern.ch relating to the clean-up. If you receive such a message, it will be for one of the following reasons:
- You are the person responsible for or the main user of a system for which a problem has been detected, or
- You have been the supervisor of a person who has now left CERN (according to the HR database), or
- The problem has been passed up to you because someone under your supervision has not taken the necessary action within four weeks of notification.
Just open the link that will be included in the message and follow the instructions. Thank you in advance for your help,
