Waste disposal
We should like to remind you that you can have all commonplace, conventional waste (combustible, inert, wood, etc.) disposed of by the TS-FM Group.
Requests for the removal of such waste should be made by contacting FM Support on tel. 77777 or by e-mail (Fm.Support@cern.ch).
For requests to be acted upon, the following information must be communicated to FM Support:
- budget code to be debited for the provision and removal of the skip / container;
- type of skip required (1m3, 4 m3, 7 m3, 15 m3, 20 m3, 30 m3);
- nature of the waste to be disposed of (bulky objects, cardboard boxes, etc.);
- building concerned;
- details of requestor (name, phone number, department, group, etc.).
We should also like to inform you that the TS-FM Group can arrange for waste to be removed from work-sites for firms under contract to CERN, provided that the prior authorisation of the CERN Staff Member in charge of the contract is obtained and the relevant disposal/handling charges are paid.
You are reminded that the selective sorting of waste is compulsory. Thank you in advance for your efforts, which will help us to keep waste handling costs as low as possible.
