Mini-Einsteins: physics for tots


Wednesdays 20 and 27 September, 18 and 25 October, 15, 22 and 29 November and 6 December at 2.30 p.m., duration 1 hour.

CERN is offering a series of workshops designed to teach the ABC of physics to the very young. Games and hands-on activities based on notions such as weight and waves will stimulate the children's curiosity and initiate them into the world of science.

Gravity for budding astronomers

Saturdays 23 and 30 September, 21 and 28 October, 11, 18 and 25 November and 2 December at 2.30 p.m., duration 1 hour.

Which is heavier and falls faster, a hammer or a feather? And why do objects fall in the first place? How to read a map of the sky? The answers to these and other questions are provided through a series of fun experiments.
