Information on the thefts committed in the Pays de Gex
A large number of e-mails are currently circulating regarding thefts committed in the Pays de Gex. At CERN's request, the French authorities have provided the following information:
Concerning the thefts committed by bogus policemen in Geneva, we would like to remind you that an official information announcement was published in the 6 November 2006 edition of the Bulletin (see also the Relations with the Host States Service's website). The recommendations of the Geneva Police Department relating to the prevention of crime (scams, break-ins, etc.) can be consulted at the following website:

CERN is in close contact with the authorities of the Host States and immediately publishes any information that is deemed necessary.
