&quot;10th Germany at CERN&quot; Industrial Exhibition and the first &quot;Innovation Forum at CERN&quot;

Les 29 et 30 janvier 2008, le Ministère fédéral allemand de l’éducation et de la recherche (BMBF), organise, conjointement avec le CERN, la dixième édition de l’exposition « L’Allemagne au CERN » ainsi que le premier Forum de l’innovation du CERN. Lors de cette exposition industrielle, une trentaine de sociétés allemandes auront l’occasion de présenter leurs produits et services aux scientifiques et aux acheteurs du CERN ; ce sera pour elles l’occasion d’établir des contacts et d’obtenir des informations en vue de futurs contrats. Les principaux secteurs représentés seront les suivants : les constructions mécaniques, l’électrotechnique, l’électronique, le génie-civil et le bâtiment, l’informatique, la radioprotection et les technologies du vide et des basses températures.

Dans le cadre du premier « Forum de l’innovation du CERN », ouvert à tous les États membres du CERN, les chercheurs, inventeurs et entrepreneurs pourront s’informer sur les technologies appliquées liées au CERN. Ils prendront connaissance du savoir-faire accumulé grâce au LHC, aux cinq détecteurs et à la Grille mondiale de calcul ; ils pourront envisager des coopérations et proposer leurs services.

Plus de 200 participants, venus d’Allemagne et d’autres pays et représentant une centaine d’instituts de recherche et d’entreprises, sont attendus.

Le 29 janvier, Mme Beatrix Vierkorn-Rudolph, Chef de département au BMBF, et Robert Aymar, Directeur général du CERN, inaugureront l’exposition et le Forum de l’innovation. L’inauguration sera suivie d’une visite de l’exposition et d’exposés sur les transferts de technologie. Dans l’après-midi, un temps sera ménagé pour que les participants puissent parler individuellement de projets de coopération. Pendant la réception tenue le soir au « Globe de l’innovation », les participants, et les membres du personnel invités, auront l’occasion de poursuivre ces échanges.

Le deuxième jour de l’exposition, les discussions et négociations se poursuivront, et des visites du LHC et de ses expériences auront lieu.
