The LHC inauguration in pictures - LHCfest
After the VIPs had left, 3000 other ‘very important people’ turned up to celebrate at the LHCfest. The party for CERN personnel involved in the LHC was a huge success and very popular.
At the mention of food the crowd moved into SM18 where the buffet was being served.
Some of the equipment in SM18 served as useful tables.

Even when most people thought that the last shuttles had left, the party was still going strong with the Canettes blues band.
