British Government increases income tax on CERN pensions

CERN pensioners who have retired to the United Kingdom are experiencing significant increases of the income tax levied on their CERN pensions, amounting to several thousands of pounds every year. A group of pensioners have raised the issue with their Members of Parliament. The subject was debated in the House of Commons on 15 March 2018, followed by a meeting between three representatives of the pensioners, their Member of Parliament and the Economic Secretary to the UK Treasury.

To maximise the chances of success with this attempt to have the measure overturned, all the pensioners concerned need to lobby their Members of Parliament.

If you know of any pensioners who may be affected, please encourage them to contact Paul Proudlock on email paul@proudlock.eu.
