The CERN Children's Christmas Party, bringing together the children of employed staff members, aged between five and seven, for an afternoon filled with magic has taken place every year, ever since the creation of the Staff Association.

This year the celebration took place on Saturday, December 7th and welcomed no fewer than 200 children, over two sessions, during the afternoon. The children were whisked off to a world of enchantment, thanks to the show, "SOS Santa Claus” where they followed the adventures of the Mother Christmas and all her friends to find Santa Claus who has disappeared. A show filled with magic, dance and adventure.

The children were then treated to some Christmas party food; we should like to thank Novae for their help and generous contribution to this great event.

While children were all busy enjoying their treat, Father ChristmasSanta Claus himself made a special appearance distributing gifts to all the children.

The Staff Association would like to warmly thank him for having taken some time out of his very busy upcoming schedule to visit CERN and bring happiness not only to the children present, but also to those who are a little older.

We would like to thank all the parents for their precious collaboration and wish you all a happy holiday season.

Looking forward to seeing you next year!
