| Abstract | This note summarizes results on a first direct search for the Standard Model Higgs boson with a mass in the range 110 < mH < 130 GeV when produced in association with a W or Z boson and decaying to b¯ b. No evidence for Higgs boson production is observed in a dataset of 7 TeV pp collisions corresponding to 0.83 fb−1 and 0.67 fb−1 of integrated luminosity, recorded by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC in 2011, for the associated Z and W channels respectively. Upper limits on Higgs-boson production cross-sections for the channels considered are presented and discussed. |
