Performance of the ALICE Zero Degree Calorimeters in LHC Run 3 / Zugravel, Stefan Cristi (INFN, Turin ; Turin Polytechnic) /ALICE Collaboration
The Zero Degree Calorimeters (ZDC) of the ALICE experiment at the LHC were designed to characterize the event and monitor the luminosity in heavy-ion collisions. In order to fully exploit the potential offered by the LHC increased luminosity in Run 3, while preserving the time and charge resolution performance, the ZDC readout system was upgraded to allow the acquisition of all collisions in self-triggered mode without dead time. Measuring the system size dependence of the strangeness production with ALICE / Nepeivoda, Roman (Lund U.) /ALICE Collaboration
The system size dependence of strangeness production in highenergy collisions was studied using Run 2 data from the ALICE experiment at the LHC. The analysis examines the ratios of strange hadron yields to pion yields as a function of mid-rapidity charged particle multiplicity ⟨dNch/dη)|η|&0.5, offering insights into the mechanisms driving strangeness enhancement across different collision systems (pp, p–Pb and Pb–Pb). Investigation of early magnetic field and angular momentum in ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions via D+ spin alignment with ALICE / Sharma, Himanshu (INFN, Padua) /ALICE Collaboration
Heavy quarks, i.e. charm and beauty, are produced at the initial stages of heavy-ion collisions, on a time scale shorter than the medium formation time, and are sensitive to the initial angular momentum of the system and the magnetic field produced perpendicular to the reaction plane (defined by the impact parameter direction and beam direction) in non-central heavy-ion collisions. Production of Σ baryons as a function of multiplicity in pp collisions at the LHC with ALICE / Gordeev, Pavel (IUPAP) /ALICE Collaboration
In recent year, the production of charged Σ hyperons in pp and p–Pb collisions was measured by the ALICE collaboration using several techniques. Historically, the first one used the decay channel Σ+ → pπ0 with reconstruction of the proton with the tracking systems at mid-rapidity and the π0 in the electromagnetic calorimeter EMCAL or via the photon conversion method. Recent results on strangeness enhancement in small collision systems with ALICE / Pucillo, Sara (Turin U.)
Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) predicts that, at sufficiently high temperature and energy density, nuclear matter undergoes a phase transition from confined hadrons to a deconfined state of quarks and gluons known as the quark-gluon plasma (QGP). [...]

Measurement of R2(Δη, Δφ) and P2 (Δη, Δφ) correlation functions in pp collisions at s = TeV with ALICE / Sahoo, Baidyanath (Indian Inst. Tech., Mumbai) /ALICE Collaboration
In high-energy collisions, the mechanism of particle production, diffusivity, and conservation of charge and momentum are all revealed by the two-particle normalised cumulants of particle number correlations (R2) and transverse momentum, pT, correlations (P2), which are measured as a function of relative pseudorapidity and relative azimuthal angle difference (Δη, Δφ). We measure these observables in pp collisions at s = TeV with transverse momentum (pT) range of 0.2 - 2.0 GeV/c, to complement the recent ALICE measurements in Pb–Pb collisions and for a better understanding of the jet contribution and nature of collectivity in small systems. Probing Chiral Magnetic Wave phenomena in Pb–Pb collisions with ALICE at the LHC / Das, Prottay (NISER, Jatni ; HBNI, Mumbai) /ALICE Collaboration
The interplay of the chiral anomaly and the strong magnetic field ( ∼1015 T) created in non central heavy-ion collisions could give rise to a collective excitation in the quark-gluon plasma called the Chiral Magnetic Wave (CMW), which can be experimentally sought through the charge asymmetry (Ach) dependence of the elliptic flow v2 of positively and negatively charged hadrons. However, non-CMW mechanisms such as local charge conservation (LCC) interwined with collective flow can also lead to a similar dependence of v2 on Ach. [...]
