The iFTDC front-end cards for the COMPASS and AMBER experiments
/ Konorov, I (Tech. U., Munich (main)) ; Friedrich, J (Tech. U., Munich (main)) ; Eichhorn, K (Tech. U., Munich (main)) ; Losekamm, M J (Tech. U., Munich (main)) ; Maehrholz, T (Tech. U., Munich (main)) ; Paul, S (Tech. U., Munich (main))
The iFTDC front-end cards were originally developed for the COMPASS experiment, and were later adapted for the streaming readout of AMBER. AMBER is the successor to the COMPASS experiment at the M2 beam line at CERN. [...]

The AMBER Experiment at CERN
/ Friedrich, Jan M (Munich, Tech. U.)
/AMBER Collaboration
NA66/AMBER has been approved by CERN in 2020 as a new multipurpose facility for experiments in meson and baryon physics. In a first beamtime in 2023, data have been taken for the determination of antiproton production cross-sections in proton-helium collisions, needed for the interpretation of cosmic antimatter observations. The concept of the unified tracking station designed for the proton charge-radius measurement planned at the AMBER (NA66) fixed-target experiment at CERN is presented. Composed of scintillating-fiber hodoscope and silicon-pixel detectors, it aims to provide 30 μrad angular resolution for the measurement of muons at momenta of 100 GeV with a time resolution of 1 ns at a nominal beam rate of 2×10$^6$ particles per second. Development of a Micromegas prototype for the AMBER experiment at CERN
/ Alexeev, M G (INFN, Turin ; Turin U.) ; Alice, C (INFN, Turin ; Turin U.) ; Amoroso, A (INFN, Turin ; Turin U.) ; Chiosso, M (INFN, Turin ; Turin U.) ; Chubinidze, Z (Frascati) ; Denisov, O (INFN, Turin) ; Giordano, D (INFN, Turin ; Turin U.) ; Gongadze, A (Tbilisi, Inst. We present the development and testing of a Micromegas detector prototype and its front end intended to be
a candidate for the substitutions of some of the Multiwire Proportional Chambers in the future AMBER (NA66)
experiment at CERN. Results of the test of the first small size prototype are discussed..

Spectroscopy, gluon structure and polarisability of kaons in the new QCD facility at the M2 beam line at CERN SPS
/ Badelek, Barbara (Warsaw U.)
/COMPASS++/AMBER Collaboration
The COMPASS++ /AMBER (proto-) Collaboration proposes a broad experimental programme for the “New QCD facility at the M2 beam line of the CERN SP”, to ommense after 2021. Inthis article, a few of unique second-generation experimentsthat rely on high-energy high intensity RF-separated kaon beams planned to operate after 2026 are highlighted: the kaon spectroscopywith kaon beam, a study of the gluon distribution in the kaon via prompt-photon production and a kaon polarisability measurement..
