Phase-1 Upgrade of the ATLAS Level-1 Calorimeter Trigger
/ Schmitt, Niklas (Johannes Gutenberg Universitaet Mainz (DE))
/ATLAS Collaboration
The ATLAS level-1 calorimeter trigger is a custom-built hardware system that identifies events containing calorimeter-based physics objects, including electrons, photons, taus, jets, and total and missing transverse energy. In Run 3, L1Calo has been upgraded to process higher granularity input data. [...]

FPGA-Accelerated Pattern Recognition for the ATLAS Event Filter at the HL-LHC
/ Sundararajan, Priya (University of California Irvine (US))
/ATLAS Collaboration
The High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) will deliver a five- to seven-fold increase in instantaneous luminosity relative to the original LHC design, and approximately a three-fold increase compared to Run-3 operation, significantly increasing detector readout volumes and placing substantially higher demands on the trigger and data-acquisition systems. To meet these challenges, the ATLAS Event Filter Tracking group is evaluating heterogeneous computing platforms to reduce the size, cost, and power consumption of the event-processing farm. [...]

Di-Higgs Searches at the LHC
/ Hyneman, Rachel Jordan (University of Arizona (US))
/ATLAS Collaboration
Higgs boson pair production (HH) plays a central role in probing the Higgs boson self-interactions, which are key to understanding the shape of the Higgs potential and the mechanism of electroweak symmetry breaking. This talk presents the latest results from the ATLAS and CMS experiments on non-resonant Higgs boson pair production, based on the full Run 2 dataset collected at = 13 TeV, with the inclusion of available Run 3 results where available. [...]
