Status of searches in the long-lived particle and dark sectors, including full run-2 and HL-LHC prospects / Alimena, Juliette (Ohio State U.) /ATLAS, CMS and LHCB Collaborations
Particles beyond the standard model can generically have lifetimes that are long compared to SM particles at the weak scale. When produced at the LHC at CERN, these long-lived particles (LLPs) can decay far from the primary proton-proton interaction, or even completely pass through the detector before decaying. [...]

Study of the effects of radiation on the CMS Drift Tubes Muon Detector for the HL-LHC / Gonzalez Caballero, Isidro (Oviedo U.)
The CMS drift tubes (DT) muon detector, built for standing up the LHC expected integrated and instantaneous luminosities, will be used also in the High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) at a 5 times larger instantaneous luminosity and, consequently, much higher levels of radiation, reaching about 10 times the LHC integrated luminosity. Initial irradiation tests of a spare DT chamber at the CERN gamma irradiation facility (GIF++), at large (~O(100)) acceleration factor, showed ageing effects resulting in a degradation of the DT cell performance. Searches for gluinos and squarks / Vami, Tamas Almos (Johns Hopkins U.) /ATLAS ,CMS and SUSY Collaborations
Despite the great success of the Standard Model, it still does not explain Dark Matter, matter/antimatter asymmetry and it does not unite the electroweak and the strong forces. As a possible solution, the theory of Supersymmetry was proposed. [...]

Open Data at CMS: Status and Plans / McCauley, Thomas (Notre Dame U.) /CMS Collaboration
The CMS Experiment at the LHC has released many large datasets of proton-proton collision data as well as simulation to the public as part of its commitment to data preservation and open access. The collision data released totals around 2 fb$^{-1}$ at 7 TeV and nearly 12 fb$^{-1}$ at 8 TeV.Data preservation describes the efforts to not only preserve the data itself but the conditions in which it can be analyzed. [...]

Searches for strong production of supersymmetry in CMS / Vami, Tamas Almos (Johns Hopkins U.) /CMS Collaboration
Searches for production of supersymmetric partners of gluons and quarks with the CMS experiment at CERN's LHC have excluded these particles for masses up to the TeV scale. The talk will present results and show the analysis techniques in these searches, with an emphasis on the use of razor variables for the discrimination between standard model backgrounds and signal..

Calibration and performance of the CMS pixel detector in LHC Run 2 / Vami, Tamas Almos (Johns Hopkins U.) /CMS Collaboration
The Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) is one of two general-purpose detectors that reconstruct the products of high energy particle interactions at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. The silicon pixel detector is the innermost component of the CMS tracking system. [...]

Rare top quark production at the LHC:\\ t$\bar{\text{t}}$Z, t$\bar{\text{t}}$W, t$\bar{\text{t}}\gamma$, tZq, t$\gamma$q, and t$\bar{\text{t}}$t$\bar{\text{t}}$ / Knolle, Joscha (DESY) /ATLAS and CMS Collaborations
A comprehensive set of measurements of top quark pair and single top quark production in association with electroweak bosons (W, Z, or $\gamma$) is presented. The results are compared to standard model (SM) predictions and used to set limits on new physics effects that would induce deviations from the SM. [...]
