HL-LHC projections for single Higgs boson measurements at the CMS experiment / CMS Collaboration /CMS Collaboration
This note describes HL-LHC projection studies based on the Run 2 CMS measurements in the Hγγ and HZγ decay channels. The expected constraints are extracted for integrated luminosities of 2000 and 3000 fb1. [...]

Projection of CMS experimental reach on HH production at HL-LHC / CMS Collaboration /CMS Collaboration
This note presents an updated projection to the high-luminosity LHC for searches for resonant and nonresonant Higgs boson pair production with the CMS experiment. The projections are based on analyses of data recorded by the CMS experiment during LHC Run 2. [...]

CMS Offline Software and Computing input to the European Strategy for Particle Physics - 2026 update / CMS Offline Software ; Computing
This document outlines the CMS Offline Software and Computing strategy in preparation for the High-Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) era and serves as input to the 2026 update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics. As CMS faces a significant increase in data volume, event complexity, and computing demands in Phase-2, this report details the necessary evolution of software, computing models, infrastructure, and sustainability practices. CMS flavor physics projections for the update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics / CMS Collaboration /CMS Collaboration
Projections of the CMS experiment's sensitivity at the HL-LHC to various flavour physics observables are presented. The results are based on measurements from the dataset collected by CMS during LHC Run 2 in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV [...]

HL-LHC projections for searches for new resonances / The CMS Collaboration /CMS Collaboration
Sensitivity estimates to search for new spin-0 resonances at HL-LHC are presented in the decay channels to two Z bosons or two top quarks. Using searches conducted with Run 2 data collected by the CMS detector from 2016 to 2018 at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, results are projected to integrated luminosities of 4 ab1 and 6 ab1, at a center-of-mass energy of 14 TeV, corresponding to the sum of data collected by ATLAS and CMS detectors. [...]

Projections for top quark mass measurements at the HL-LHC / The CMS Collaboration /CMS Collaboration
In the context of the Update on the European Strategy in Particle Physics, we present the current expectation for the achievable precision in top quark mass measurements at the HL-LHC. The projections are based on two methods that are expected to profit significantly from the large amount of data expected at the HL-LHC..

Energy-energy correlator in Z-tagged events in PbPb and pp collisions at sNN=5.02 TeV / The CMS Collaboration /CMS Collaboration
The study of energy-energy correlator in an event tagged with a Z boson involves correlation of two tracks. Separating the desired correlation on top of uncorrelated background is however non trivial. [...]

Lepton energy scale and resolution corrections based on an analytical likelihood approach / Couderc, Fabrice (IRFU, Saclay) ; Gaigne, Paul (IRFU, Saclay) ; Sahin, Mehmet Ozgur (IRFU, Saclay)
In this document, we describe a new approach to obtain the energy scale and resolution correction based on the minimization of an analytical likelihood. The energyresolution effect is incorporated with an analytical approach. [...]

The underlying event and the prior choice impact on the kT scan of the Lund jet tree in PbPb collisions at sNN= 5.02 TeV / The CMS Collaboration /CMS Collaboration
The Lund jet plane allows for the separation of soft and hard physics in a modular fashion. In heavy-ion collisions, it is expected that the Lund jet plane provides a spacetime picture of the interactions of the jet shower as it traverses the quark-gluon plasma. [...]

Beam tests using tracking telescopes are a standard method for determining the spatial resolution of detectors. This requires the precise knowledge of the position resolution of beam tracks reconstructed at the Device Under Test (DUT). [...]
