Search for heavy pseudoscalar and scalar bosons decaying to top quark pairs in proton-proton collisions at
/CMS Collaboration
A search for heavy pseudoscalar or scalar bosons decaying to a top quark pair ($\mathrm{t\bar{t}}$) in final states with one or two charged leptons is presented, using $138\,\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13\,\mathrm{TeV}$ recorded by the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC. The invariant mass of the reconstructed $\mathrm{t\bar{t}}$ system and variables sensitive to its spin state are used to discriminate against the standard model $\mathrm{t\bar{t}}$ background.

Search for light pseudoscalar bosons produced in Higgs boson decays in the $4\tau$ and $2\mu2\tau$ final states in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13~\mathrm{TeV}$
/CMS Collaboration
A search for a pair of light pseudoscalar bosons ($\mathrm{a}_1$) produced from the decay of the $125~\mathrm{GeV}$ Higgs boson (H) is presented. The analysis examines decay modes where one $\mathrm{a}_1$ decays into a pair of tau leptons, and the other decays into either another pair of tau leptons or a pair of muons.

Combined effective field theory interpretation of Higgs boson, electroweak vector boson, top quark, and multi-jet measurements
/CMS Collaboration
Constraints on the Wilson coefficients (WCs) corresponding to dimension-six operators of the standard model effective field theory (SMEFT) are determined from a simultaneous fit to seven sets of CMS measurements probing Higgs boson, electroweak vector boson, top quark, and multi-jet production. The measurements of the electroweak precision observables at LEP and SLC are also included and provide complementary constraints to those from CMS.

Search for gammaH production in pp collisions at sqrt{s} = 13 and constraints on the Yukawa couplings of light quarks to the Higgs boson using data from the CMS detector
/CMS Collaboration
A search for $\gamma$H production is performed with the data from the CMS experiment at the LHC corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $138~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ at a proton-proton center-of-mass collision energy of $13~\mathrm{TeV}$. The analysis focuses on the topology of a boosted Higgs boson recoiling against a high-energy photon.

Wasserstein normalized autoencoder
/CMS Collaboration
A novel approach to unsupervised jet tagging is presented for the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC. The Wasserstein normalized autoencoder (WNAE) is a normalized probabilistic model that minimizes the Wasserstein distance between the probability distribution of the training data and the Boltzmann distribution of the reconstruction error of the autoencoder.

Search for medium-induced jet axis decorrelations with inclusive jets from PbPb collisions at $\sqrt{\smash[b]{s_{_{\mathrm{NN}}}}} = 5.02$ TeV
/CMS Collaboration
The angular correlation between two different jet axes for a given jet of $R = 0.4$, obtained by using two different clustering algorithms on the same collection of anti-$k_{\mathrm{T}}$ jets, is studied using lead-lead collision data at a center-of-mass energy per nucleon pair of 5.02 TeV. The dataset, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $0.662~\mathrm{nb}^{-1}$, was collected with the CMS detector at the CERN LHC.

The Bjorken-x evolution of fluctuating gluon fields probed via incoherent J/psi photoproduction in PbPb collisions at sqrt(sNN) = 5.02 TeV

The cross section for incoherent $\rm J/\psi$ photoproduction off lead nuclei is measured to probe the event-by-event fluctuations of the gluon field density within heavy nuclei across a broad range of Bjorken-$x$. Results are obtained using PbPb ultraperipheral collisions at a nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energy of 5.02 TeV collected by the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.52 nb$^{-1}$.

Constraints on standard model effective field theory effects with Higgs bosons produced in association with W or Z bosons in the H$\rightarrow$b$\mathrm{\bar{b}}$ decay channel in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13~\mathrm{TeV}$
/CMS Collaboration
A standard model effective field theory (SMEFT) analysis with dimension-six operators is performed in the Higgsstrahlung process, where the Higgs boson is produced in association with a W or Z boson, in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of $13~\mathrm{TeV}$. The final states where the W or Z boson decay leptonically and the Higgs boson decays to a pair of bottom quarks are considered.
