Competition between allowed and first-forbidden $β$ decays of $^{208}$At and expansion of the $^{208}$Po level scheme / Brunet, M (Surrey U.) ; Podolyák, Zs (Surrey U.) ; Berry, T A (Surrey U.) ; Brown, B A (Michigan State U., NSCL) ; Carroll, R J (Surrey U.) ; Lica, R (CERN ; Bucharest, IFIN-HH) ; Sotty, Ch (Bucharest, IFIN-HH ; Leuven U.) ; Andreyev, A N (York U., England ; JAEA, Ibaraki) ; Borge, M J G (CERN) ; Cubiss, J G (CERN ; Madrid U.) et al.
The structure of $^{208}$Po populated through the EC/$β^+$ decay of $^{208}$At is investigated using $γ$-ray spectroscopy at the ISOLDE Decay Station. The presented level scheme contains 27 new excited states and 43 new transitions, as well as a further 50 previously observed $γ$ rays which have been (re)assigned a position. [...]

Lattice sites of implanted Na in GaN and AlN in comparison to other light alkalis and alkaline earths / Wahl, Ulrich (Universidade de Lisboa (PT)) ; David Bosne, Eric (Universidade de Lisboa (PT)) ; Amorim, Lígia (KU Leuven) ; Granadeiro Costa, Angelo Rafael (Universidade de Lisboa (PT)) ; De Vries, Bart (KU Leuven) ; Martins Correia, Joao (Universidade de Lisboa (PT)) ; da Silva, Manuel Ribeiro (CICECO Aveiro) ; Da Costa Pereira, Lino Miguel (KU Leuven (BE)) ; Vantomme, André (KU Leuven) /IS634 Collaboration
The lattice location of ion implanted radioactive 24Na (t1/2=14.96 h) in GaN and AlN was determined using the emission channeling technique at the ISOLDE/CERN facility. In the room temperature as-implanted state in both GaN and AlN, the majority of the sodium atoms are found on interstitial sites near the octahedral position, with a minority on cation Ga or Al substitutional sites. [...]

Direct Structural Identification and Quantification of the Split-Vacancy Configuration for Implanted Sn in Diamond / Wahl, Ulrich (Universidade de Lisboa (PT)) ; Martins Correia, Joao (Universidade de Lisboa (PT)) ; Villarreal, Renan (KU Leuven) ; Bourgeois, Emilie (Hasselt University) ; Gulka, Michal (Hasselt University) ; Nesladek, Milos (Hasselt University) ; Vantomme, André (KU Leuven) ; Da Costa Pereira, Lino Miguel (KU Leuven (BE)) /EC-SLI Collaboration ; IS368 Collaboration
We demonstrate formation of the ideal split-vacancy configuration of the Sn-vacancy center upon implantation into natural diamond. Using beta-emission channeling following low fluence 121Sn implantation (2E12 atoms/cm2, 60 keV) at the ISOLDE facility at CERN, we directly identified and quantified the atomic configurations of the Sn-related centers. HI-TREX—A highly integrated transfer setup at REX-(HIE)ISOLDE / Berner, C (Munich, Tech. U.) ; Werner, L (Munich, Tech. U.) ; Gernhäuser, R (Munich, Tech. U.) ; Kröll, Th (Darmstadt, Tech. U.)
Transfer reactions are a unique tool to populate and probe the structure of nuclei. Due to its unprecedented capabilities in producing and accelerating exotic nuclei, the HIE-ISOLDE facility at CERN provides an excellent opportunity for transfer experiments using radioactive ion beams. [...]

Magnetic Moments of Short-Lived Nuclei with Part-per-Million Accuracy: Toward Novel Applications of $\beta$-Detected NMR in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology / Harding, R.D. We determine for the first time the magnetic dipole moment of a short-lived nucleus with part-per-million (ppm) accuracy. To achieve this two orders of magnitude improvement over previous studies, we implement a number of innovations into our $\beta$-detected Nuclear Magnetic Resonance ($\beta$-NMR) setup at ISOLDE/CERN. The origin of the elements and other implications of gravitational wave detection for nuclear physics / Lunney, David /ISOLTRAP Collaboration
The neutron-star collision revealed by the event GW170817 gave us a first glimpse of a possible birthplace of most of our heavy elements. The multi-messenger nature of this historical event combined gravitational waves, a gamma-ray burst and optical astronomy of a “kilonova”, bringing the first observations of rapid neutron capture (r process) nucleosynthesis after 60 years of speculation. (Liverpool U.) et al.
Collinear laser spectroscopy measurements were performed on $^{69,71,73}$Ge isotopes ($Z = 32$) at ISOLDE-CERN. The hyperfine structure of the $4s^2 4p^2 \, ^3P_1 \rightarrow 4s^2 4p 5s \, ^3P_1^o$ transition of the germanium atom was probed with laser light of 269 nm, produced by combining the frequency-mixing and frequency-doubling techniques. Detailed spectroscopy of doubly magic $^{132}$Sn / IS610 Collaboration
The structure of the doubly magic $^{132}_{50}$Sn$_{82}$ has been investigated at the ISOLDE facility at CERN, populated both by the $\beta^-$ decay of $^{132}$In and $\beta^-$-delayed neutron emission of $^{133}$In. The level scheme of $^{132}$Sn is greatly expanded with the addition of 68 $\gamma$ transitions and 17 levels observed for the first time in the $\beta$ decay. [...]

Decay studies of the long-lived states in $^{186}$Tl / IDS Collaboration
Decay spectroscopy of the long-lived states in $^{186}$Tl has been performed at the ISOLDE Decay Station at ISOLDE, CERN. The $\alpha$ decay from the low-spin ($2^−$) state in $^{186}$Tl was observed for the first time and a half-life of 3.4$^{+0.5}_{−0.4}$ s was determined. [...]
