Study of Muon Drift Tube Detectors and Fast Readout Electronics for Very High Counting Rates / Schmidt-Sommerfeld, Korbinian Ralf (Max-Planck-Institut fur Physik (DE))
The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at the European Center for Particle Physics, CERN, collides protons and lead ions with high luminosities at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV in the center of four detectors, of which one is the ATLAS experiment. After more than a decade of successful operation with the discovery of the Higgs boson, the instantaneous luminosity will be increased by almost an order of magnitude with the High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) in order to perform precision measurements of the Higgs boson and top quark and extend the searches for physics beyond the Standard Model of particle physics. Report from ARIES Muon Collider Workshop in Padua / Zimmermann, Frank (CERN) ; Zanetti, Marco (INFN, Padua)
Several novel concepts could help the muon collider become a reality. These concepts include parametric ionization cooling, low-emittance muon production by positron annihilation (LEMMA scheme), production of low-emittance muon or positron beams using the Gamma Factory concept, and strategies to upgrade large accelerator complexes, like the LHC or the FCC, into a highest-energy muon collider. [...]

An Insight on the Thermal and Mechanical Numerical Evaluations for the High-Luminosity LHC Crab Cavities / Cano-Pleite, Eduardo (CERN) ; Amorim Carvalho, Alexandre (CERN) ; Artoos, Kurt (CERN) ; Calaga, Rama (CERN) ; Capatina, Ofelia (CERN) ; Capelli, Teddy (CERN) ; Carra, Federico (CERN) ; Dassa, Luca (CERN) ; Garlasché, Marco (CERN) ; Leuxe, Raphael (CERN) et al.
One of the key devices of the HL-LHC project are SRF crab cavities. A cryomodule with two Double Quarter Wave (DQW) crab cavities has been successfully fabricat-ed and tested with beam at CERN whereas the Radio Frequency Dipole (RFD) crab cavities are currently on its fabrication process. [...]

Measurement of the Higgs Boson Coupling Structure in Decays to Four Leptons with the ATLAS Detector / Walbrecht, Verena Maria (Max-Planck-Institut fur Physik (DE))
The properties of the Higgs boson couplings have been studied in decays into four leptons, $H \to ZZ^{*}\to 4\ell$ ($\ell=e,\mu$), using proton-proton collision data recorded with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in the years $2015$ to $2018$ at a centre-of-mass energy of $13$ TeV (LHC Run 2). Measurements have been performed using different data sets corresponding to integrated luminosities of $36.1$ fb$^{-1}$, $79.8$ fb$^{-1}$ and $139$ fb$^{-1}$. [...]

Modeling of the emittance growth due to decoherence in collision at the Large Hadron Collider / Buffat, X (CERN) ; Herr, W (CERN) ; Pieloni, T (Ecole Polytechnique, Lausanne) ; Valuch, D (CERN)
The transverse emittance growth rate of colliding hadron beams driven by external sources of noise is investigated based on existing analytical model as well as on macro-particle simulations and comparison to experimental data at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). It is shown that an analytical description of the emittance growth rate neglecting the existence coherent beam-beam mode can nevertheless provide accurate estimate for operational conditions, featuring notably a high chromaticity.
