LHC experiments for long-lived particles of the dark sector / Mitsou, Vasiliki A. (Valencia U., IFIC)
Dark matter scenarios are being tested at the LHC in the general-purpose experiments through promptly decaying states. In parallel, new dedicated detectors have been proposed for the LHC to probe dark matter portal theories predicting long-lived particles that decay away from the interaction point: MoEDAL-MAPP, MoEDAL-MALL, FASER, SND@LHC, CODEX-b, MATHUSLA, AL3X, ANUBIS, FACET, milliQan, FORMOSA. First search for dyons with the full MoEDAL trapping detector in 13 TeV pp collisions / MoEDAL Collaboration
The MoEDAL trapping detector, consists of approximately 800 kg of aluminium volumes. It was exposed during Run-2 of the LHC program to 6.46 fb^-1 of 13 TeV proton-proton collisions at the LHCb interaction point. [...]

We present a study on the possibility of searching for long-lived supersymmetric partners with the MoEDAL experiment at the LHC. MoEDAL is sensitive to highly ionising objects such as magnetic monopoles or massive (meta)stable electrically charged particles. [...]

Searching for supersymmetry and its avatars / Ellis, John (King's Coll. London ; CERN ; NICPB, Tallinn)
Why continue looking for supersymmetry? Over andabove the aesthetic and theoretical motivations fromstring theory, there are several longstanding pheno-menologicalmotivationsforTeV-scalesuper-symmetry, such as the electroweak scale, and thelightest supersymmetric particle as cold dark matter.Run 1 of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) hasactually provided three extra motivations, namelythe stabilization of the electroweak vacuum, andsuccessful predictions for the Higgs mass andcouplings. How to look for it?There are severalexamples of emergent supersymmetry, the mostrecent being on the surfaces of topological insulators, and some sort of effective supersymmetry could beuseful for boosting the power of laser arrays. At theLHC, attention is moving towards signatures that hadpreviously been neglected, such as long-lived chargedparticles—which might be an opportunity for theMoEDAL experiment. This article is part of a discussion meeting issue‘Topological avatars of new physics’..

Magnetic monopole search with the full MoEDAL trapping detector in 13 TeV $pp$ collisions interpreted in photon-fusion and Drell-Yan production / MoEDAL Collaboration
MoEDAL is designed to identify new physics in the form of stable or pseudostable highly ionizing particles produced in high-energy Large Hadron Collider (LHC) collisions. Here we update our previous search for magnetic monopoles in Run 2 using the full trapping detector with almost four times more material and almost twice more integrated luminosity. [...]

Status, results and prospects from the MoEDAL experiment at LHC / Mitsou, Vasiliki A (Valencia U., IFIC) /MoEDAL
The MoEDAL experiment at the LHC is optimised to detect highly ionising particles such as magnetic monopoles, dyons and (multiply) electrically charged stable massive particles predicted in a number of theoretical scenarios. MoEDAL, deployed in the LHCb cavern, combines passive nuclear track detectors with magnetic monopole trapping (MMT) volumes, while spallation-product backgrounds are being monitored with an array of MediPix pixel detectors. Search for magnetic monopoles with the MoEDAL forward trapping detector in 2.11 fb$^{-1}$ of 13 TeV proton-proton collisions at the LHC / MoEDAL Collaboration
We update our previous search for trapped magnetic monopoles in LHC Run 2 using nearly six times more integrated luminosity and including additional models for the interpretation of the data. The MoEDAL forward trapping detector, comprising 222~kg of aluminium samples, was exposed to 2.11~fb$^{-1}$ of 13 TeV proton-proton collisions near the LHCb interaction point and analysed by searching for induced persistent currents after passage through a superconducting magnetometer.
