Radiation from thin, structured targets (CERN NA63) / Dizdar, Alper (Istanbul U.)
Experimental results from the CERN NA63 experiment concerning radiation from thin, structured targets will be presented. When the targets are thin, the LPM effect on the bremsstrahlung vanishes, and other mechanisms such as the TSF effect (Ternovskii, Shul'ga, Fomin) and interference from the thin plates come in to the scene. Does experiment show that beamstrahlung theory - strong field QED - can be trusted? / Esberg, J (Aarhus U.) ; Uggerhoj, U I (Aarhus U.)
We present a discussion of the experimental foundation for the strong field effects that are applied in beamstrahlung calculations for the planned next generation of linear colliders. In particular, quantum suppression of synchrotron radiation, co herent pairs and tridents are treated. [...]
