Upgrade of the CERN cryogenic test facility for the HL-LHC superconducting magnets and superconducting links / Pirotte, O (CERN) ; Barbe, T (CERN) ; Buzio, M (CERN) ; Dassa, L (CERN) ; Gahier, V (CERN) ; Guillotin, N (CERN) ; Lees, A (CERN) ; Mangiarotti, F (CERN) ; Mauny, R (CERN) ; Ninet, G (CERN) et al.
New superconducting magnets, based on Nb$_{3}$Sn technology, have been developed for the HL-LHC project, the High-Luminosity upgrade of the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) at Interaction Points 1 and 5. These magnets require thorough testing in cryogenic conditions at 4.5 and 1.9 K before their installation into the LHC. [...]

How digital twins can help with operator training, an example with ATLAS and CMS detector’s cryogenics at CERN / Jimenez, L (CERN) ; Majorel, A (CERN ; GANIL) ; Bradu, B (CERN) ; Gahier, V (CERN)
This paper presents the implementation of a cryogenic process simulator applied to A Toroidal LHC Apparatus (ATLAS) and the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiments at CERN (European Organisation for Nuclear Research). Building upon the development of a digital twin of the complex LHC accelerator cryogenic system, this work extends its application to the specific needs of the ATLAS and CMS experiments and their dedicated cryogenic systems. FCC― 次世代円形衝突型加速器 / OIDE, Katsunobu (CERN ; U. Geneva (main) ; KEK, Tsukuba)
FCC is a project for a next generation circular collider based at CERN, as the next step of LEP/LHC experiments. It will have at least two stages : (i) measurements on electroweak (Z/W), Higgs, tt by e+e- collision (FCC-ee) and (ii) energy frontier pp collision (FCC-hh) up to 100 TeV center of mass (CM) energy. Both will be performed by colliders in the same tunnel with 90–100 km circumference built around the Geneva area across the Swiss-French border..

III.14 - CERN beamline for fixed-target experiments / Gerbershagen, Alexander (U. Groningen (main))
Fixed-target experiments are continuing to play a major role in the very beginnings of accelerator-based studies in particle physics. While collider experiments dominate the exploration in the high-energy domain, fixed-target experiments still cover the important complementary domain, as they permit experiments with extremely high event rates. Towards Autonomous Execution of Safe and Precise Robotic Radiation Surveys in the Super Proton Synchrotron / Forkel, David (CERN ; Jaume I U., Castellon) ; Cervera, Enric (CERN ; Jaume I U., Castellon) ; Marín, Raúl (CERN ; Jaume I U., Castellon) ; Habibiroudkenar, Pejman (CERN ; Aalto U.) ; Matheson, Eloise (CERN)
Abstract The article presents the automation of radiation surveys in the Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS) accelerator using autonomous robotic navigation techniques. The mission plan includes precise radiation monitoring along beam components; navigation along walls; crossing safety doors; maneuvering in open spaces (e.g., entrances and the beam dump area); deploying a manipulator-mounted radiation sensor; and docking or undocking at charging stations for long-term operations. Transition-Edge Sensor Spectrometer for Precision Spectroscopy of Antiprotonic Atoms / Morgan, Kelsey (NIST, Boulder) ; Azuma, Toshiyuki (KEK, Tsukuba) ; Baptista, Gonçalo (Paris, Lab. Kastler Brossel) ; Becker, Daniel (Colorado U.) ; Bennett, Douglas (NIST, Boulder) ; Butin, François (CERN) ; Dean, Jonathan W (NIST, Boulder ; Colorado U.) ; Eizenberg, Ofir (Technion) ; Fowler, Joseph W (NIST, Boulder) ; Fujioka, Hiroyuki (ISCT, Tokyo) et al.
antiProtonic Atom X-ray (PAX) spectroscopy is an experiment that aims to test strong-field quantum electrodynamics (QED) effects by performing high-precision X-ray spectroscopy of antiprotonic atoms. PAX will use a low-energy antiproton beam provided by the Extra Low ENergy Antiproton (ELENA) ring at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) to create antiprotonic atoms. [...]
