Technical challenges for the new T2K High Angle TPCs / Levorato, Stefano (speaker) (INFN Trieste, INFN Padova and CERN)
The Near Detector of the T2K experiment at J-PARC has recently being upgraded  in order to reduce the present systematic uncertainties affecting the oscillation parameters measurements and to exploit the increased neutrino beam power of the J-PARC complex.  One of the major improvements to the T2K ND280 detector consisted of the integration of two large size (~ 3m3  each)  new horizontal High -Angle Time-Projection Chambers (HATPC).  The new HATPCs are based on a gaseous active volume contained in a Field Cage made of lightweight composite material, combining optimal mechanical and electrical properties with minimal radiation length and dead volume. The readout is performed by innovative Resistive Micromegas modules featuring a resistive layer for charge spreading on top of the readout plane to enhance spatial resolution performance. The mentioned technologies have been studied during several test beams and cosmic rays campaigns [...]

Searching beyond the Standard Model with Lattice QCD / Nicholson, Amy (speaker)
Low-energy searches for rare processes and fundamental symmetry violations provide a promising avenue for discovering hints of new physics. Fully leveraging experiments which utilize nuclei as laboratories requires input from non-perturbative QCD calculations, namely, lattice QCD [...]

A double-slit experiment at the femtometer scale with ALICE / Riffero, Andrea Giovanni (speaker) (Universita e INFN, Dipartimento di Fisica Torino, Italy)
Ultra-peripheral heavy-ion collisions (UPCs) occur when the impact parameter of the collision is greater than the sum of the radii of the colliding nuclei. UPCs allow one to study photon-induced reactions, such as the photoproduction of a vector meson, which is a well-established tool to probe the gluon structure of the colliding nuclei [...]

Hearing the forest for the trees: understanding LIGO/Virgo's plurality of singularities / Farr, Benjamin Frederick (speaker) (University of Oregon (US))
Before the start of their current and fourth observing run (O4), the LIGO and Virgo detectors had already collected an impressive census of compact binary mergers in the local universe. By the end of O2 in August 2017 the LIGO Scientific Collaboration and Virgo Collaboration claimed a total of 10 binary black hole mergers and one binary neutron star merger. [...]

Latest machine learning developments for the LHCb experiment / Garcia Pardinas, Julian (speaker) (CERN)
Starting from Run 3, the LHCb experiment has transitioned to a fully software-based trigger leveraging a heterogeneous GPU+CPU architecture, which offers unprecedented opportunities for physics exploration. Simultaneously, the LHCb detector has been fully upgraded to handle higher luminosities and collect a significantly larger volume of data. [...]

New physics on the run from precision tests / Renner, Sophie Alice (speaker) (University of Glasgow (GB))
The increasing array of current and future precision measurements contains a huge amount of information about heavy new physics. But understanding the full scope of that information is complicated by the large parameter space involved, as well as by renormalization group mixing between different interactions. [...]

Study of entanglement in space-like and time-like separated top quark pairs at CMS / Negro, Giulia (speaker) (Purdue University (US))
Since the start of the Large Hadron Collider, determining the properties of top quarks has been a vital point of the LHC research program. Only recently, it has been understood how top-quark properties can even be utilized to probe quantum entanglement, thereby addressing fundamental questions of quantum mechanics at the LHC [...]

Investigating the emergence of long-range angular correlations in low-multiplicity proton-proton collisions with ALICE / Parkkila, Jasper (speaker) (Warsaw University of Technology (PL))
The observation of long-range correlations in high-multiplicity proton-proton and proton-nucleus collisions at RHIC and LHC suggests the potential formation of a strongly-coupled Quark-Gluon Plasma in smaller volumes. We present the first high-precision measurement of long-range near-side yields in pp collisions down to very low charged-hadron multiplicities as well as the challenges involved in such analysis [...]
