Proton reconstruction with the TOTEM Roman pot detectors for high-$ \beta^* $ LHC data
/ Hayrapetyan, Aram (Yerevan Phys. Inst.) ; Tumasyan, Armen (Yerevan Phys. Inst.) ; Adam, Wolfgang (Vienna, OAW) ; Andrejkovic, Janik Walter (Vienna, OAW) ; Benato, Lisa (Vienna, OAW) ; Bergauer, Thomas (Vienna, OAW) ; Chatterjee, Suman (Vienna, OAW) ; Damanakis, Konstantinos (Vienna, OAW) ; Dragicevic, Marko (Vienna, OAW) ; Hussain, Priya Sajid (Vienna, OAW) et al.
The TOTEM Roman pot detectors are used to reconstruct the transverse momentum of scattered protons and to estimate the transverse location of the primary interaction. This paper presents new methods of track reconstruction, measurements of strip-level detection efficiencies, cross-checks of the LHC beam optics, and detector alignment techniques, along with their application in the selection of signal collision events. Nonresonant central exclusive production of charged-hadron pairs in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV
/ CMS and TOTEM Collaboration
The central exclusive production of charged-hadron pairs in pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV is examined, based on data collected in a special high-$ \beta^* $ run of the LHC. The nonresonant continuum processes are studied with the invariant mass of the centrally produced two-pion system in the resonance-free region, $ m_{\pi^{+}\pi^{-}} < $ 0.7 GeV or $ m_{\pi^{+}\pi^{-}} > $ 1.8 GeV. TOTEM, recent experimental review
/ Cafagna, Francesco S (INFN, Bari)
/TOTEM Collaboration
The TOTEM (TOTal cross section, Elastic scattering and diffraction dissociation Measurement at the LHC) experiment, located at the interaction point 5 of the LHC, has measured the total, elastic and inelastic proton-proton crosssections, using a luminosity independent method, based on the optical theorem, in a center-of-mass energy range from 2.76 to 13 TeV. The elastic scattering was investigated in a wide range of the squared four-momentum transfer |t| allowing study of the Coulomb-nuclear interference region down to |t| ∼ 8 × 10−4 GeV2. [...]

HOM Couplers and RF Antennas for HL-LHC Crab Cavities: Developments for Manufacturing
/ Barrière, Simon (CERN) ; Atieh, Said (CERN) ; Bulat, Bartosz (CERN) ; Calaga, Rama (CERN) ; Calvo, Sebastien (CERN) ; Capatina, Ofelia (CERN) ; Demazière, Thomas (CERN) ; Favre, Gilles (CERN) ; Gallifa Terricabras, Adrià (CERN) ; Garlasché, Marco (CERN) et al.
Superconducting RF crab cavities are being manufactured as part of the High-Luminosity LHC project at CERN. Amongst its related ancillaries, radiofrequency HOM (High Order Modes) couplers and field antennas are essential for reaching nominal performance during operation with high energy beams, as they monitor and control the electromagnetic fields in the cavities.
