Development of an Ionization Chamber for the Measurement of the$^{16}$ O(n, ${\alpha }$ )$^{13}$ C Cross-Section at the CERN n_TOF Facility / Urlass, Sebastian (TU, Dresden (main) ; HZDR, Dresden ; CERN) ; Junghans, Arnd R (HZDR, Dresden ; CERN) ; Hartmann, Andreas (HZDR, Dresden) ; Mingrone, Federica (CERN) ; Sobiella, Manfred (HZDR, Dresden) ; Stach, Daniel (HZDR, Dresden) ; Tassan-Got, Laurent (CERN) ; Weinberger, David (HZDR, Dresden) /n_TOF Collaboration The$^{16}$ O(n,  ${\alpha }$ )$^{13}$ C reaction, as the inverse reaction of the astrophysically important$^{13}$ C( ${\alpha }$ , n)$^{16}$ O reaction, is proposed to be measured at the neutron time-of-flight (n_TOF) facility of CERN. To this purpose, a Double Frisch Grid Ionization Chamber (DFGIC) containing the oxygen atoms as a component in the counting gas has been developed and a prototype was constructed at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf(HZDR), in Germany. $^{7}$ Be(n,p)$^{7}$ Li Cross Section Measurement for the Cosmological Lithium Problem at the n $\_$ TOF Facility at CERN / n_TOF Collaboration One of the most puzzling problems in Nuclear Astrophysics is the “Cosmological Lithium Problem”, i.e the discrepancy between the primordial abundance of$^{7}$ Li observed in metal poor halo stars (Asplund et al. in Astrophys J 644:229–259, 2006, [1]), and the one predicted by Big Bang Nucleosynthesis (BBN). Data for the s Process from n_TOF / n_TOF Collaboration A considerable amount of (n, $\gamma$ ) reactions has been studied, so far, at the neutron time-of-flight facility n_TOF at CERN. The experimental program aims at determining and improving cross sections for a number of isotopes relevant to s-process nucleosynthesis. [...] 2019 - 8 p. - Published in : Springer Proc. Measurement of the $^{244}$ Cm and $^{246}$ Cm Neutron-Induced Cross Sections at the n_TOF Facility / Alcayne, V (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Kimura, A (JAERI, Tokai) ; Mendoza, E (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Cano-Ott, D (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Aberle, O (CERN) ; Amaducci, S (INFN, Catania) ; Andrzejewski, J (Lodz U.) ; Audouin, L (Orsay, IPN) ; Babiano-Suarez, V (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Bacak, M (CERN ; Vienna, Tech. U.) et al. The neutron capture reactions of the$^{244}$ Cm and$^{246}$ Cm isotopes open the path for the formation of heavier Cm isotopes and of heavier elements such as Bk and Cf in a nuclear reactor. In addition, both isotopes belong to the minor actinides with a large contribution to the decay heat and to the neutron emission in irradiated fuels proposed for the transmutation of nuclear waste and fast critical reactors. Radiative Neutron Capture Cross-Section Measurement of Ge Isotopes at n_TOF CERN Facility and Its Importance for Stellar Nucleosynthesis / n_TOF Collaboration This manuscript summarizes the results of radiative neutron capture cross-section measurements on two stable germanium isotopes, $^{70}$Ge and $^{73}$Ge. Experiments were performed at the n_TOF facility at CERN via the time-of-flight technique, over a wide neutron energy range, for all stable germanium isotopes (70,72,73,74, and 76).
