CERN Rocked at the Hardronic

As every year in the summer, over one weekend, the Prevessin site becomes a mecca for rock music, welcoming not only CERN staff members but also visitors.

The 2018 version of the Hardronic Festival, took place last August 4th, in a relaxed atmosphere, despite the overwhelming heat which was greatly reduced thanks to the welcome shade provided by the trees, an abundance of beverages and the availability of food trucks.

For this 27th edition, 13 rock and pop groups followed on successively from each other, performing on two stages, providing more than eight solid hours of music, attracting young and old festival-goers in large numbers who, danced and sang the night away.

The quality of the programming and organization allowed everyone to share a beautiful evening of relaxation and music.

This CERN-made festival has become a summer event not to be missed.

Sponsored by the Staff Association, the Hardronic Festival is organised by the Music Club and allows talented musicians to perform. It also highlights the talent, which can be found within the CERN MusiClub, and in the local french and swiss area.

Professionally organised and a pleasant and easily accessible venue,  it was nevertheless mandatory for external visitors to register prior to the event in order to gain access.

A big thank you to Arek and Django for the festival to all the volunteers and the technical team, they all did an excellent job.

Put it in your diaries for next year!
