Project BTN for BetterThanNothing masks
A team of volunteers from CMS are starting the distribution of material (tissue, filters, elastic) to launch the production of home-made (sewing) masks.
Volunteers will be provided with a sewing tutorial and a kit with all needed raw material sufficient for the manufacturing of 50 masks. When masks are ready a volunteer from the delivery team will collect them and drop off additional kits of raw material.
Masks will be distributed, free of charge, in French and Swiss sides of the Geneva area. Priority will be given to retirement homes (maisons de retraite), civil servants in contact with the public, workers in public areas (Supermarket, Commercial Centres, Post offices, ...) and then to the larger public. Mask distribution sites will be advertised shortly.
If you have friends/colleagues wishing to join please they can contact btn.mask@cern.ch. The project team will then contact them and organise delivery of raw material kits.
