THE CROCKET CLUB : OPEN HOUSE SESSIONS EVERY WEDNESDAY LUNCH

As of this yeara at THE CROCKET CLUB there is a new management team, and our primary objective is to get more CERN staff personnel joining the club and enjoying the facilities we have to offer.  We recognize that evening sessions may not be the best time for getting to the lawns for those at CERN all day, so there are ‘Open House Sessions’  every Wednesday lunch time between 12:30 and 14:00 to which you, your friends and family are very welcome.

So come along with your packed lunch, or have a sandwich and drink offered by the Club. Check out the clubhouse and the facilities it offers, and then ‘have a go’ at hitting a ball with a mallet or rolling a weighted bowl towards a target ball.

CERN Croquet Club is located on the CERN Prevessin site, adjacent to AMS, and opposite building 892. The lawns are flat and well maintained such that balls run evenly over the surface, big enough to contain 2 full size croquet lawns (each 32 * 26 meters).  The Clubhouse (bat. 6439) is a collection of old recuperated Norwegian Barracks (you may well remember them), which, along with its BBQ area makes for a fine summer evening with friends and colleagues .
