The data is collected with the ATLAS detector at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV during the 2010 proton-proton run and during dedicated data-taking of cosmic-ray data at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The objective of the study is the understanding of the characteristics of the non-collision backgrounds in order to identify, estimate and reject them in the physics analyses.</dc:description><dc:publisher/><dc:date>2011-09-20</dc:date><dc:source>http://cds.cern.ch/record/1383840</dc:source><dc:type>Conference talks on ATLAS</dc:type><dc:identifier>http://cds.cern.ch/record/1383840</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>oai:cds.cern.ch:1383840</dc:identifier><invenio:conference.notes>All figures including auxiliary figures are available at https://atlas.web.cern.ch/Atlas/GROUPS/PHYSICS/CONFNOTES/ATLAS-CONF-2011-137</invenio:conference.notes></dc:dc>
