Abstract The Files of Reinhard Budde contain a wide variety of documents related to his tenure at CERN, from 1954 to 1990, as well as some personal documents. What mainly constitutes the collection, is the ensemble of audiovisual material that we found in his personal possessions. The "audiovisual materials" series consists in pictures showing the scan of particles collisions during multiples experiments, especially in bubble chambers since Budde's significant work on the construction of them. An extensive collection of slides is also a notable part of this series. The main theme of the slides is CERN; they offer a rare view of the construction site of CERN in its early years of existence, the collider construction and as well as pictures of machines and laboratories. The "handwritten notes" that are part of this collection, have a material bearing on the collection; Reinhard Budde was the secretary of the Super Proton Synchrotron Experiments Committee (SPSC) between 1976 and 1990. During this period of time, Budde took scrupulous notes for each meeting they had. The ensemble of these documents have an unique and relevant importance for the history of CERN and its experiment. Despite his figure as secretary of the SPSC, in this series, notes related to other experiments committee meetings such as LEP are part of it. The correspondence of letters found, although relatively small in volume, contains important exchanges Reinhard Budde had with professors, laboratories and other scientists.
