Abstract
| Recent measurements of single top and $\mathrm{t \bar{t}}$ production at the ATLAS and CMS
experiments are summarized. Topics covered are a measurement of
$t$-channel single top production at $\sqrt{s} = 5.02\,\mathrm{TeV}$, differential
$t$-channel cross sections at $\sqrt{s} = 13\,\mathrm{TeV}$, $\mathrm{WbW\bar{b}}$ differential
cross sections in the dilepton and lepton+jets channels probing on- and off-shell
top contributions, the most precise inclusive $\mathrm{t \bar{t}}$ cross section measurement to
date, the first observation of $\mathrm{t \bar{t}}$ production in PbPb collisions at $\sqrt{s_\mathrm{NN}}} = 5.36\,\mathrm{TeV}$, a combined
ATLAS+CMS measurement of the $\mathrm{t \bar{t}}$ spin-correlation observable $\Delta \varphi_{\ell\ell}$, and a characterization of the quantum state of the $\mathrm{t \bar{t}}$ system based on the spin density matrix. |
