The new beam screens for the inner triplets in the HL-LHC are designed to intercept heat loads of up to 25 Wm$^{-1}$ between 60 K and 80 K. The screens need to be mechanically supported by the beam tube at 1.9 K while limiting heat transfer to the same tube to less than 0.5 W m$^{-1}$. [...]

For both versions of the Future Circular Collider, the electron-positron FCC ee$^+$, requiring a 2 T/4 m bore solenoid for particles spectrometry, and the hadron-hadron FCC hh, CERN is developing an innovative design for the detector solenoids, to enable their positioning inside the calorimeters directly surrounding the inner tracker. Boil-off calorimetric measurements of Multilayer Insulation (MLI) performance from 20 K-60 K to 4.2 K are being performed at CERN, extending the range of measurements of MLI to cover cryostat applications where thermal shields are operated at lower temperatures than that of LN$_2$. The SRF cavity testing facilities at CERN include four vertical cryostat stations in SM18 and a cryostat for small cavities in the Cryolab. The powering layout of the new HL-LHC Nb$_3$Sn triplet circuits is the use of cryogenic bypass diodes, where the diodes are located inside an extension to the magnet cryostat, operated in superfluid helium and exposed to radiation. Therefore, the radiation hardness of different type of bypass diodes has been tested at low temperatures in CERN’s CHARM irradiation facility during the operational year 2018. [...]

An experimental setup is operational at the Central Cryogenics Laboratory of the European Organization for Nuclear Research to measure the cooling mechanisms of superfluid $^4$He (He II) from prepared Rutherford-type superconducting cable stacks to a stagnant He II bath. For novel magnets designed for the so-called high-luminosity large hadron collider upgrade, a segment of a fully impregnated Nb$_3$Sn 11T dipole magnet was measured. [...]

Cryogenic upgrade of the low heat load liquid helium cryostat used to house the Cryogenic Current Comparator in the Antiproton Decelerator at CERN / Lees, A (CERN) ; Koettig, T (CERN) ; Fernandes, M (CERN) ; Tan, J (CERN)
The Cryogenic Current Comparator (CCC) and its purpose built cryostat were installed in the low-energy Antiproton Decelerator (AD) at CERN in 2015. A pulse-tube cryocooler recondenses evaporated helium to liquid at 4.2 K filling the helium vessel of the cryostat at an equivalent cooling power of 0.69 W. [...]
