Validation tests of the CMS TIB/TID structures
/ D'Alfonso, Mariarosaria (INFN, Pisa) ; Azzurri, Paolo (INFN, Pisa) ; Balestri, Gabriele (INFN, Pisa) ; Basti, Andrea (INFN, Pisa) ; Borrello, Laura (INFN, Pisa) ; Cazzola, Ugo (INFN, Pisa) ; Dutta, Suchandra (INFN, Pisa) ; Lenzi, Piergiulio (INFN, Firenze) ; Ligabue, Franco (INFN, Pisa) ; Linari, Stefano (INFN, Pisa) et al.
Tracker Inner Barrel half-cylinders and Tracker Inner Disks of the CMS tracker have been integrated in three INFN sites. Integrated structures are submitted to an extensive set of tests whose main aim is to validate the functioning of the structures in CMS-like conditions. [...]

The Detector Control Systems for the CMS Resistive Plate Chamber
/ Paolucci, P (INFN, Naples) ; Polese, G (INFN, Naples ; Lappeenranta U. Tech.)
The Resistive Plate Chamber system is composed of 912 double-gap chambers equipped with about $10^4$ front-end boards. The correct and safe operation of the RPC system requires a sophisticated and complex online Detector Control System, able to monitor and control 2$\cdot10^4$ hardware devices distributed on an area of about 5000 m$^2$. [...]

Petal Integration for the CMS Tracker End Caps
/ Bergauer, Thomas ; Dragicevic, Marko ; Friedl, Markus ; Hansel, S ; Hrubec, Josef ; Krammer, Manfred ; Pernicka, Manfred ; Beaumont, Willem ; De Wolf, Eddi A ; Bouhali, Othmane et al.
This note describes the assembly and testing of the 292 petals built for the CMS Tracker End Caps from the beginning of 2005 until the summer of 2006. Due to the large number of petals to be assembled and the need to reach a throughput of 10 to 15 petals per week, a distributed integration approach was chosen. [...]

Implementation and performance of the Detector Control System for the electromagnetic calorimeter of the CMS experiment
/ Adzic, P (VINCA Inst. Nucl. Sci., Belgrade) ; Brett, A (Zurich, ETH) ; Cavallari, F (INFN, Rome) ; Di Calafiori, D (CEFET, Rio de Janeiro) ; Dissertori, G (Zurich, ETH) ; Gómez-Reino, Robert (CERN) ; Inyakin, A (Minnesota U.) ; Jovanovic, D (VINCA Inst. Nucl. Sci., Belgrade ; Belgrade, Inst. Phys.) ; Leshev, G (Zurich, ETH) ; Milenovic, P (VINCA Inst. Nucl. Sci., Belgrade ; Zurich, ETH) et al.
In this presentation we describe the main design objectives, the detailed specifications and the final layout of the Detector Control System (DCS) for the electromagnetic calorimeter (ECAL) of the CMS experiment. Emphasis is put on the system implementation and specific hardware and software solutions in each of its sub-systems. [...]

Production of the CMS Tracker End Cap sub-structures
/ Fontaine, Jean-Charles (Louis Pasteur U., Strasbourg I)
/CMS Tracker Collaboration
The production and qualification of the 288 petals needed to build both CMS Tracker End Caps (TECs) is summarized. There will be first a description of a petal, integrating many components, the most important ones being the silicon modules. [...]
