Analysis of High-Energy Heavy-Ion SEE Results Through Standard-Energy Ion SEE Data / Sacristan Barbero, Mario (IES, Montpellier ; CERN) ; Slipukhin, Ivan (IES, Montpellier ; CERN) ; Söderström, Daniel (CERN) ; Emriskova, Natalia (CERN) ; Waets, Andreas (CERN) ; Bilko, Kacper (CERN) ; Prelipcean, Daniel (Unlisted, DE) ; Coronetti, Andrea (CERN ; Unlisted, DE) ; Kettunen, Heikki (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Sivertz, Michael (Brookhaven) et al.
This work presents the results of several single- event effect (SEE) measurements (bit upsets, latch-up, and burn-out) performed in two SEE testing facilities, European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) and NASA Space Radiation Laboratory (NSRL) (100–1000 MeV/n), using high- energy heavy ions. The results are compared with those obtained at other SEE facilities using standard-energy ions, Radiation Effects Facility (RADEF), UCL, and GANIL (<50 MeV/n). [...]

Radiation field characterization of the PSAIF irradiation facility at CERN / Ahdida, Claudia (CERN) ; Boukabache, Hamza (CERN) ; Laforge, Clyde (CERN) ; Mazzola, Giuseppe (CERN) ; Mohanan, Sarath Kundumattathil (CERN) ; Pisano, Paolo (CERN) ; Widorski, Markus (CERN)
The PS-AD Irradiation Facility (PSAIF) is located at the antiproton production target area at CERN, where antiprotons are produced through the interaction of a 26GeV/c proton beam from the Proton Synchrotron (PS) with an iridium target. The facility exploits the intense emission of secondary high-energy particles generated during this process to enable parasitic irradiation of objects. [...]

The forward physics facility : physics opportunities and conceptual design / FPF Collaboration
The Forward Physics Facility (FPF) is a proposed extension of the HL-LHC program designed to exploit the unique scientific opportunities offered by the intense flux of high energy neutrinos, and possibly new particles, in the far-forward direction. Located in a well-shielded cavern 627 m downstream of one of the LHC interaction points, the facility will support a broad and ambitious physics program that significantly expands the discovery potential of the HL-LHC. [...]

Tech. U., Athens) /n_TOF Collaboration
A key ingredient of the design of advanced nuclear systems, such as Generation IV reactors and accelerator driven systems, is the study of neutron induced fission reactions. Accurate cross-section data on key actinides is needed both for their operation and the handling of the nuclear waste. [...]

In the initial framework of HL-LHC project, a 90 mm Nb-Ti single aperture quadrupole short model with a gradient of 120 T/m at 1.9 K, has been designed, manufactured and firstly tested at 4.2 K as part of a collaboration between CERN and CEA. This magnet called MQYYM has been recently tested for the first time at 1.9 K and used as a reference magnet for the commissioning of the new CEA Paris-Saclay cryogenic test facility STAARQ (standing for test station for quadrupole accelerator magnets).
