Search for ttbar resonances in dilepton+jets final states in pp collisions at 8 TeV /CMS Collaboration
We present a model-independent search for heavy resonances decaying to $\rm{t\bar{t}}$ pairs using 19.7~$\rm{fb^{-1}}$ of data recorded by the CMS detector in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 8$~TeV. The search is based on events containing two leptons (electron or muon) , at least two jets, and large missing transverse energy. No deviation is observed over the expected rate from standard model processes. [...]

CMS-TOTEM feasibility studies for single diffractive Z, W, Jpsi and central exclusive dijet production in pp collisions at 13 TeV /CMS Collaboration
Feasibility studies for the measurement of single-diffractive Z or W boson production in the electron and muon channels, J/$\psi$ production in the muon decay channel and central exclusive dijet production, in proton-proton (pp) collisions with the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) and TOTal Elastic and diffractive cross section Measurement (TOTEM) experiments are presented. Visible cross sections are defined for such processes and presented along with the expected event yields based on the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) Run II high-$\beta^{*}$ beam optics configuration, low-pileup scenario, assuming an integrated luminosity of 10~${\rm pb}^{-1}$..

Combination of cross-section measurements of associated production of a single top-quark and a W boson at sqrt[s] = 8 TeV with the ATLAS and CMS experiments /CMS Collaboration
A combination of cross-section measurements for the associated production of a top quark and a $W$~boson in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=8$~TeV by the ATLAS and CMS experiments is presented. The two measurements are based on integrated luminosities of 20.3~fb$^{-1}$ and 12.2~fb$^{-1}$, respectively. The combined production cross section of a single top quark and a $W$~boson is determined as $\sigma_{tW} = 25.0\pm1.4\;(\text{stat.})\pm4.4\;(\text{syst.})\pm0.7\;(\text{lumi.})\,\,\text{pb} = 25.0\pm4.7\,\,\text{pb}$, in agreement with the NLO+NNLL expectation. Search for charged Higgs bosons with the H+ to tau nu decay channel in the fully hadronic final state at sqrt s = 8 TeV /CMS Collaboration
A search for a charged Higgs boson is presented in the $\mathrm{t}\overline{\mathrm{t}} \to \mathrm{H}^{\pm}\mathrm{W}^{\mp}\mathrm{b}\overline{\mathrm{b}}$ process for charged Higgs boson mass lighter than the mass difference of the top and bottom quarks and in the $\mathrm{pp} \to \overline{\mathrm{t}}(\mathrm{b})\mathrm{H}^{+}$ and $\mathrm{pp} \to \mathrm{t}(\overline{\mathrm{b}})\mathrm{H}^{-}$ processes for charged Higgs boson mass heavier than the mass difference of the top and bottom quarks. The analysis concentrates on the $\mathrm{H}^{+}\to\tau^{+}\nu_{\tau}$ decay mode in a fully hadronic final state. The analysed data were recorded by the CMS experiment in 2012 at a centre-of-mass energy of 8~TeV at the CERN LHC and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 19.7~fb$^{-1}$. The transverse mass of the tau and missing transverse energy system is exploited for separating the potential signal from the expected backgrounds. The mass spectrum observed in data is in agreement with the standard model prediction. Model-independent 95\% confidence-level upper limits calculated with the modified frequentist $\mathrm{CL}_{\mathrm{s}}$ criterion are established as 1.2--0.16\% on $\mathcal{B}(\mathrm{t} \to \mathrm{b} \mathrm{H}^{+})\times\mathcal{B}(\mathrm{H}^{+}\to\tau^{+}\nu_{\tau})$ for $m_{\mathrm{H}^+}$ in the range of 80 to 160~GeV and 0.38--0.026~pb on $\sigma({\mathrm{pp} \to \overline{\mathrm{t}}(\mathrm{b})\mathrm{H}^{+}})\times\mathcal{B}(\mathrm{H}^{+}\to\tau^{+}\nu_{\tau})$ for $m_{\mathrm{H}^+}$ in the range of 180 to 600~GeV..
