Combination of cross-section measurements of associated production of a single top-quark and a W boson at sqrt[s] = 8 TeV with the ATLAS and CMS experiments /CMS Collaboration
A combination of cross-section measurements for the associated production of a top quark and a $W$~boson in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=8$~TeV by the ATLAS and CMS experiments is presented. The two measurements are based on integrated luminosities of 20.3~fb$^{-1}$ and 12.2~fb$^{-1}$, respectively. The combined production cross section of a single top quark and a $W$~boson is determined as $\sigma_{tW} = 25.0\pm1.4\;(\text{stat.})\pm4.4\;(\text{syst.})\pm0.7\;(\text{lumi.})\,\,\text{pb} = 25.0\pm4.7\,\,\text{pb}$, in agreement with the NLO+NNLL expectation. Search for charged Higgs bosons with the H+ to tau nu decay channel in the fully hadronic final state at sqrt s = 8 TeV /CMS Collaboration
A search for a charged Higgs boson is presented in the $\mathrm{t}\overline{\mathrm{t}} \to \mathrm{H}^{\pm}\mathrm{W}^{\mp}\mathrm{b}\overline{\mathrm{b}}$ process for charged Higgs boson mass lighter than the mass difference of the top and bottom quarks and in the $\mathrm{pp} \to \overline{\mathrm{t}}(\mathrm{b})\mathrm{H}^{+}$ and $\mathrm{pp} \to \mathrm{t}(\overline{\mathrm{b}})\mathrm{H}^{-}$ processes for charged Higgs boson mass heavier than the mass difference of the top and bottom quarks. The analysis concentrates on the $\mathrm{H}^{+}\to\tau^{+}\nu_{\tau}$ decay mode in a fully hadronic final state. The analysed data were recorded by the CMS experiment in 2012 at a centre-of-mass energy of 8~TeV at the CERN LHC and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 19.7~fb$^{-1}$. The transverse mass of the tau and missing transverse energy system is exploited for separating the potential signal from the expected backgrounds. The mass spectrum observed in data is in agreement with the standard model prediction. Model-independent 95\% confidence-level upper limits calculated with the modified frequentist $\mathrm{CL}_{\mathrm{s}}$ criterion are established as 1.2--0.16\% on $\mathcal{B}(\mathrm{t} \to \mathrm{b} \mathrm{H}^{+})\times\mathcal{B}(\mathrm{H}^{+}\to\tau^{+}\nu_{\tau})$ for $m_{\mathrm{H}^+}$ in the range of 80 to 160~GeV and 0.38--0.026~pb on $\sigma({\mathrm{pp} \to \overline{\mathrm{t}}(\mathrm{b})\mathrm{H}^{+}})\times\mathcal{B}(\mathrm{H}^{+}\to\tau^{+}\nu_{\tau})$ for $m_{\mathrm{H}^+}$ in the range of 180 to 600~GeV..

Measurement of the Top Quark Mass in Dilepton ttbar Decays at sqrt(s) = 8 TeV /CMS Collaboration
This paper describes a measurement of the top quark mass with the full 2012 dataset captured by CMS at a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s} = 8 \text{ TeV}$, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $19.7\pm 0.5\text{ fb}^{-1}$. Search for a heavy charged Higgs boson in proton-proton collisions at sqrts=8 TeV with the CMS detector /CMS Collaboration
Results are presented of a search for a charged Higgs boson with a mass larger than the top quark in the $gg\rightarrow H^+tb$ production process. The final states considered contain either one electron and one muon, or two electrons, or two muons, or one muon plus one hadronically decaying tau lepton, corresponding to the charged Higgs decays $H^{+}\rightarrow tb$ and $H^+\rightarrow \tau^+\nu$. The full production and decay chain includes $gg\rightarrow H^+tb \rightarrow (\tau_h\nu) (\mu\nu b) b$ and $gg\rightarrow H^+tb \rightarrow (\ell\nu b b) (\ell'\nu b) b$, with $\ell$, $\ell'$ being an electron or a muon. The search is performed with 19.7~fb$^{-1}$ of data collected in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 8$~TeV with the CMS detector. We find no evidence for a charged Higgs signal and set upper limits on its production rate for mass values in the range 180-600~GeV..
