Exclusion limits on gluino and top-squark pair production in natural SUSY scenarios with inclusive razor and exclusive single-lepton searches at 8 TeV. /CMS Collaboration Updated bounds on gluino and top-squark pair production are derived from the search for supersymmetry in events with b-jets at $\sqrt{s}=8$ TeV. The inclusive razor search in events with b-jets is combined with the exclusive search for top squarks in events with one electron or muon. Search for Anomalous Top Chromomagnetic Dipole Moments from angular distributions in $t\bar{t}$ Dileptonic events at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV with the CMS detector. /CMS Collaboration A search for new physics in the form of a top quark chromo-magnetic anomalous coupling is performed using a previous measurement of the differential $\mathrm{t\bar{t}}$ cross section as a function of the difference in azimuthal angle between the two charged leptons, $|\Delta \phi_{ll}|$, in the dilepton decay mode. The measured value of $Re(\hat{\mu}_t)$ is $0.037 \pm 0.041$ and no sign of new physics is observed. Limits on the real part of the chromomagnetic dipole moment $Re(\hat{\mu}_t)$ are determined at 95\% Confidence Level as -0.043$< Re(\hat{\mu}_t) <$0.117.. J/psi and psi(2S) prompt double-differential cross sections in pp collisions at 7 TeV /CMS Collaboration The double-differential cross sections of the promptly-produced J/$\psi$ and $\psi$(2S) mesons, in transverse momentum, $p_{\rm T}$, and absolute rapidity, $|y|$, are measured in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 7$\,TeV, using a dimuon sample collected by CMS in 2011, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.9\,fb$^{-1}$. The results are based on a two-dimensional analysis of the dimuon invariant mass and decay length, and cover a broad $p_{\rm T}$ range, extending from 15 to 120\,GeV in the J/$\psi$ case and to 100\,GeV in the $\psi$(2S) case, when integrated in the $|y|<1.2$ window.. Measurement of the CP-violating weak phase phi-s and the decay width difference DeltaGamma-s using the Bs to J/psiPhi(1020) decay channel /CMS Collaboration The CP-violating weak phase $\phi_\mathrm{s}$ and the decay width difference $\Delta\Gamma_\mathrm{s}$ of $\mathrm{B_s}$ mesons are measured by the CMS experiment at the LHC using a data sample of ${\mathrm{B_s}\! \to\! \mathrm{J}/\psi(\mu^+ \mu^-)\phi(\mathrm{K^+K^-})}$ decays. The analysed dataset corresponds to an integrated luminosity of about $20~\mbox{fb}^{-1}$ collected in $\textrm{pp}$ collisions at a centre-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}= \!8~\textrm{TeV}$. A total of $49\,000$ reconstructed $\mathrm{B_s}$ decays are used to extract the values $\phi_\mathrm{s}$ and $\Delta\Gamma_\mathrm{s}$ by performing a time-dependent and flavour-tagged angular analysis of the $\mu^+ \mu^- \mathrm{K^+K^-}$ final state. Search for the Standard Model Higgs boson in the H to WW to lnujj decay channel in pp collisions at the LHC /CMS Collaboration A search for a standard model-like Higgs boson decaying to two W bosons with the subsequent decay to a final state containing one lepton, one neutrino, and two jets is presented. The results are based on a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.3~fb${}^{-1}$ of proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=8$~TeV and 5~fb${}^{-1}$ at $\sqrt{s}=7$~TeV collected with the CMS detector at the CERN LHC. Selections to discriminate between the signal and background events are based on kinematic and topological quantities including the angular spin correlations between the decay products. Search for Lepton Flavour Violating Decays of the Higgs Boson /CMS Collaboration The first direct search for Lepton Flavor Violating Decays of the recently discovered Higgs boson using $19.7$ fb$^{-1}$ of $\sqrt{s}=8$ TeV data taken in 2012 using the $H \to \mu \tau_{e}$ and $H \to \mu \tau_{had}$ channels is described , where $\tau_{had}$ and $\tau_{e}$ are taus reconstructed in the hadronic and electronic decay channels respectively. The sensitivity of the search is an order of magnitude better than the existing indirect limits. Search for Third Generation Scalar Leptoquarks Decaying to Top Quark - Tau Lepton Pairs in pp Collisions /CMS Collaboration A search for pair-production of third generation scalar leptoquarks decaying to top quark and tau lepton pairs is presented using up to 19.7 $\mathrm{fb^{-1}}$ of proton-proton collision data at $\sqrt{s}=8$ TeV collected by the CMS detector at the LHC. An excess of events containing a pair of muon and hadronic tau lepton candidates with two or more jets is sought after, but the observations are found to be in agreement with the standard model predictions. Assuming unit branching fraction for the leptoquark decays to a top quark - tau lepton pair, the existence of pair-produced charge $-1/3$ third generation leptoquarks up to a mass of 634 GeV is excluded at $95\%$ CL..
