Note from the CERN Medical Service

FLU VACCINATION

People working on the CERN site who wish to be vaccinated may go to the Medical Service (ground-floor, bldg. 57), without a prior appointment (preferably between 14:00 and 16:00), but THEY MUST BRING THEIR VACCINE WITH THEM.

Ideally, vaccination should take place between 1^st October and 30^th November 2005.

CERN staff aged 50 or over are recommended to have the flu vaccination. Vaccination is particularly important for those suffering from chronic lung, cardio-vascular or kidney problems, for diabetics and those convalescing from serious illness or after major surgery.

The Medical Service will not administer vaccines for family members or retired staff members, who must contact their usual family doctor.
