Regional reconstruction of tracks for the ATLAS Event Filter using GPU accelerators / Wynne, Benjamin Michael (The University of Edinburgh (GB)) ; ATLAS TDAQ Collaboration /ATLAS Collaboration
The upcoming high-luminosity phase of the LHC (HL-LHC) presents several challenges for the ATLAS experiment's Trigger and Data Acquisition system, necessitating a full upgrade of the system. A key challenge for the Event Filter, where high-level event reconstruction and final event selection will run at 1 MHz, lies in the computational demand for online track reconstruction within the Inner Tracker in selected regions of interest at the full trigger rate and of the full tracker acceptance at 150 kHz. [...]

Studies of track reconstruction performance in the ATLAS Event Filter for the HL-LHC / Aparo, Marco (The Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST) (ES)) /ATLAS Collaboration
The instantaneous luminosity at the High-Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) will reach unprecedented levels, boosting the physics reach at the LHC. To cope with the resulting challenging pile-up condition and fully exploit the new high-granularity Inner Tracker (ITk), a major upgrade of the ATLAS Trigger and Data Acquisition (TDAQ) system is ongoing, with track reconstruction in the Event Filter being a critical component. [...]

Accelerating Graph Neural Networks on FPGAs for Real-Time Level-0 Muon Triggering / Errico, Martino (Sapienza Universita e INFN, Roma I (IT)) ; ATLAS Collaboration /ATLAS Collaboration
The High-Luminosity LHC will generate unprecedented data rates, pushing real-time trigger systems to their limits. We present a novel approach deploying graph neural networks (GNNs) on FPGAs to achieve fast, sub-microsecond inference for Level-0 muon triggers. [...]

Optimising Demanding I/O Applications
/ Gottardo, Carlo Alberto (CERN) ; Bonaventura, Matias (CERN) ; Kolos, Serguei (University of California Irvine (US)) ; Heitz, Yoann Paul Charles (CERN) ; Pozo Astigarraga, Eukeni (CERN) ; Roemer, Jonas Till (CERN) ; Simola, Vesa (CERN) /ATLAS Collaboration
Optimising demanding I/O applications: the HL-LHC ATLAS Readout case study After a four-year upgrade ending in 2030, the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider will be read out by about 15,000 optical links operating at 1 MHz, generating a total data throughput of 5 TB/s. The Readout system is tasked with ingesting, aggregating, and distributing these data to a computer farm over a 400 Gb/s commodity network. [...]

Recent ATLAS Searches for Extended Dark Sectors / Stupak, John (University of Oklahoma (US)) /ATLAS Collaboration
This talk presents recent ATLAS results from searches for extended dark‑sector phenomena using the full Run‑2 dataset and early Run‑3 data. A range of signatures is explored, including events with missing transverse momentum, new mediator particles, and non‑standard visible final states, and emerging jets. [...]

Highlights on top quark physics with the ATLAS experiment at the LHC / Knue, Andrea (Technische Universitaet Dortmund (DE)) /ATLAS Collaboration
The large top quark samples collected with the ATLAS experiment at the LHC have yielded measurements of the production cross section of unprecedented precision and in new kinematic regimes. They have also enabled new measurements of top quark properties that were previously inaccessible, enabled the observation of many rare top quark production processes predicted by the Standard Model and boosted searches in the Top sector. The upgrade of the ATLAS Trigger and Data Acquisition system for the High Luminosity LHC / Silva Oliveira, Marcos Vinicius (Brookhaven National Laboratory (US)) ; ATLAS Collaboration /ATLAS Collaboration
The ATLAS experiment at CERN is constructing upgraded system for the "High Luminosity LHC", with collisions due to start in 2030. In order to deliver an order of magnitude more data than previous LHC runs, 14 TeV protons will collide with an instantaneous luminosity of up to 7.5 x 10e34 cm^-2s^-1, resulting in much higher pileup and data rates than the current experiment was designed to handle.
